501(c)(3) organization providing children with autism professionally trained service dogs. Pawsitism, Inc.

There is a need for an autism assistance dog program in the Sheboygan area. As of 2012, the Center of Disease Control stated that the prevalance of autism in children is 1 in 68. There are no other programs in the Sheboygan area that provide fully trained autism assistance dogs. The benefits of autism service dogs are proving to be truly remarkable. They assist people on the autism spectrum with everything from completing daily tasks to preventing wandering to acting as a calming presence during overwhelming situations. is a new non-profit in the Sheboygan area that is training service dogs for children with autism by partnering with client families on fundraising to provide the autism service dog their child needs. There will be no personal cost to the family for the purchase of a dog.

🐾 Three bags of Momentum. Three future service dogs. One goal… PROGRESS! 💙

What does it take to build a future service dog? Practice, patience, consistency, and a whole lot of positive reinforcement!

Today’s training was all about PLACE, building independence, improving obedience, and learning to work around other dogs.

Did they nail it the first time? Nope! 😂

But that’s what training is all about!

With each repetition, we saw more confidence, better understanding, and stronger responses. From practicing place to off-leash obedience and heeling around one another, these pups showed us just how much progress can happen when we keep working!

And Ruby? Well, she understood the assignment, collected her paycheck, and made sure to finish our session with a signature nose boop! 😂🐶

We don’t expect perfection. We celebrate progress, reward great choices, and build the skills these dogs will someday use to change a child’s life.

💙 Every repetition builds confidence. Every great choice builds Momentum.

A HUGE thank you to Momentum, the official treat sponsor of Pawsitism, for helping fuel our future service dogs through every training adventure!

🐾 Sealed with a boop. Powered by Momentum!

We are so excited to be back!

Took some time to hang out with some awesome kiddos at the Bethlehem Lutheran Churcha and School!

The kiddos loved Deep Pressure Therapy and so did Mrs. Wallner!

Great to be back! Thanks for a great first day!

Bikes, scooters, birds… and a whole parade of fire trucks! 🚲🛴🐦🚒

Caruso and Sunshine took their training to the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison! 🐾 Sunshine is deaf, so we use hand signals and tasty Momentum treats to help her understand what we’re asking—and reward her hard work. 🙌💛

She held her position as bikes and scooters passed, birds gathered nearby, and fire trucks rolled by. She can’t hear the sirens, but those flashing lights and big moving trucks still make this a busy training adventure!

And Caruso’s opening shot? That’s the Wisconsin State Capitol—no White House visit here! 😂

Big distractions, steady paws, and a little motivation from Momentum! 🐾

🐾 A little space could make a big difference!

Pawsitism Inc. is looking for someone willing to donate the use of a quiet space for a couple of hours once a week to help our service dogs learn and grow.

We don’t need anything fancy! A small open room, an extra garage space, or an office area available during off-hours could be a wonderful fit. We’re simply looking for room to practice service dog tasks and obedience with minimal distractions. 💛

If you or someone you know has a space we could visit weekly, we would be so thankful for your support of our nonprofit and the families we serve.

📩 Please message us if you have a space in mind, and share this post to help us find one!

Thank you for helping us build Steady Paws for Growing Minds. 🐾

🐾 Four dogs. One handler. One direction.

There’s something pretty incredible about watching four future service dogs move together through the heart of Chicago — focused, connected and ready to work. 🍂🏙️

Patti made four dogs look easy as they walked together, stopped together, sat together…and of course waited patiently for the best part — their reward! 😂🐾

Training is built one step, one good choice and one reward at a time.

And after the work is done? There’s ALWAYS time for a little love. ❤️

Keep moving forward. Keep the Momentum.

👀 YES, Teddy saw the other dog walk into Starbucks.

And YES, he stayed exactly where he was supposed to be.

When you’re traveling with a service dog, you can’t control every environment you walk into — or who else walks into it. What you CAN do is prepare your dog to notice a distraction without feeling the need to react to it.

Teddy looked. Teddy processed. Teddy stayed put. 👏🐾

Because a working service dog doesn’t need to pretend the rest of the world doesn’t exist. He needs to know how to make the right choice when it does.

And according to Teddy, there was really no competition anyway…

He had Momentum treats. 😂
