💙🐾 Autism affects how the brain processes the world—and sometimes that world can feel overwhelming.

For many children with autism, everyday sights, sounds, emotions, and experiences can become difficult to navigate. That's where a service dog can make a life-changing difference.

Through calming techniques like deep pressure therapy, grounding touch, and trained responses to stress, service dogs help create moments of comfort, safety, and connection. They provide a steady presence during overwhelming situations, helping children regain focus, reduce anxiety, and confidently engage with the world around them.

At Pawsitism, Inc., we believe every child deserves support that helps them thrive. Our service dogs are more than companions—they are trusted partners, helping create calm in overwhelming moments and opening doors to greater independence and confidence.

Last night we attended the Sheboygan A’s Non-Profit Night and had such a great time connecting with the community! ⚾🐾

Our service dogs and teams had the opportunity to meet the players, share more about what we do at Pawsitism, and take an amazing team photo with the Sheboygan A’s!

One of the most special parts of the night was having Ben and Isa back with us after living in Utah for the past 3 years. Before moving, they were part of our local community, so having everyone together again made the evening even more meaningful. 💙

The dogs did an incredible job handling the excitement, crowds, announcements, and all the distractions that come with a busy ballpark environment. Nights like this are not only fun, but also valuable real-world training opportunities for our future service dogs.

A huge thank you to the Sheboygan A’s for welcoming us, supporting local nonprofits, and helping us spread awareness about autism service dogs and the life-changing impact they make every single day!

🐾Service Dog Facts...Did you know? 🐾

Service dogs can help regulate sensory overload through deep pressure therapy—a grounding technique where a dog applies gentle, consistent pressure to help calm the nervous system.
For many individuals, this support can mean the difference between feeling overwhelmed and feeling in control. 💙

At Pawsitism, Inc, our service dogs are trained to recognize these moments and respond with care—creating Steady Paws for Growing Minds.

Training Never Stops! 🐾

Our Service Dogs in Training had a very busy weekend gaining valuable real-world experience in a variety of environments!

🐾 Finley spent time in Green Bay attending MeatFest before heading to Oneida Casino, practicing focus, confidence, and public access skills in busy settings.

🐾 Ted E. Bear and veteran service dog Oliver visited Seroogy's Chocolates in Green Bay, working on calm behavior, manners, and navigating public spaces.

🐾 Remi traveled to Minnesota for a basketball conference and then took on one of the biggest training environments around—a visit to the famous Mall of America! From crowds and noise to elevators and distractions, Remi handled a variety of new experiences that help prepare future service dogs for the real world.

Every outing provides opportunities to build confidence, reinforce obedience, and expose our dogs to the environments they may encounter while supporting a child with autism. Service dogs aren’t made in a classroom—they are developed through consistent training in everyday situations.

We are incredibly proud of Finley, Teddy, Remi, and Oliver for representing Pawsitism so well this weekend and taking another step forward in their journeys.

💙💛❤️ Steady Paws for Growing Minds.
