Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project, Inc

Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project, Inc Humane animal welfare organization The Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project is dedicated to Mr. Peabody. Peabody that the Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project came to exist.

Pea was bred and born in a Wisconsin puppy mill, and languished in a filthy cage in a Wisconsin pet store, at the mercy of neglectful and sometimes abusive sales people. Even though he finally found a loving home, there was no “happy ending.” Pea suffered from poor breeding, chronic health problems, and emotional scars due to his background, for all of his six years. His owner – our founder -- fel

t others needed to be made aware of puppy mill abuse and neglect AND that laws needed to be set in place to protect dogs and the people who included them in their families. You can read our story at http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/about-wpmp.html

It is because of Mr. We will continue our work until puppy mills CEASE to exist.

We CAN NOT SAY THIS ENOUGH! Always, ALWAYS screen prospective new owners carefully.

NO "FREE TO GOOD HOME!" Yes, many people who take free pets do provide wonderful homes. However, frequently -- much too frequently! -- animal welfare workers or law enforcement are called in to rescue former "free to good home" animals.

Please, if you must rehome your animals, do your due diligence.

MI ADVOCATES:

Queenie’s Law would BAN painful dog experiments at taxpayer-funded institutions in Michigan! 🐾

We’re excited to report that the legislation is moving forward in both the House and Senate. We submitted testimony in support of the Senate bill at a recent hearing, and in December, the House bill advanced out of a critical committee with strong, bipartisan backing! 🐶

The bill was inspired by Queenie, a Dalmatian mix who spent the last seven months of her life being used in painful heart failure experiments at Wayne State University before being killed in 2010. 💔

MI residents: Urge your legislators to help dogs in Michigan labs by supporting Queenie’s Law! 👉🏽 humaneworld.org/MIDogExperiments

Today, we brought another 68 precious beings from Ridglan Farms to Dane County Humane Society. For each of these dogs a new life begins today. Some are scared. Some are shy. Some are the most cuddly being imaginable. Some upon touching grass for the first time in their lives had the most adorable cases of the zoomies ever seen.

We are beyond grateful to our teammates from Dane County Humane Society, Beagle Freedom Project, Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project, and the Wisconsin Federated Humane Societies. We are also grateful for the incredible network of shelters and rescues in Wisconsin and surrounding states that are giving these beagles a chance at that new life.

For every new beginning there has to be an ending, and we are working to make the end of animal testing a reality. You can help by contacting your senators and representative in Congress and asking them to support the FDA Modernization Act 3.0.

More information about the FDA Modernization Act in the comments.
