Our picnic area just got more colorful! Students from Urban Middle School’s Art and Tech Ed clubs designed, constructed, and painted this magical picnic table, and donated it to Bookworm for our visitors to enjoy! It is well-built and perfectly whimsy. Thank you, students, for sharing your talents and creativity with us!

Whether you love herbs for their smell or for use in cooking, everyone should experience the love of having an herb garden! Using inspiration from Bookworm's A Kid's Herb Book garden, families will learn how to start and care for an herb garden, including when and how to harvest herbs. This hands-on class includes general admission for two, along with a pot, herbs, soil, and tools to use while creating your planter.

This workshop is geared toward children ages 5 and up, but any beginner gardener is welcome to attend. A parent or guardian must be present with each group.

Saturday, June 6 - 10 AM
Members: $35 per garden | Public: $45 per garden

We’re still floating from this weekend’s Readers’ Roundup ribbon cutting. Everything from the collaboration with Sheboygan County 4-H, to the weather, to the visitors from all over the Midwest, to the hands-on activities, to the food trucks made for a poppin’ good time.

Thank you again to everyone who made this event possible, and if you weren’t able to attend, be sure to make a visit to Bookworm this season to experience Harvey Potter’s Balloon Farm for yourself!

🎈 A massive, hot air balloon-sized, thank you to everyone who made our Community Day such a success. The excitement around Harvey Potter’s Balloon Farm and our collaboration with Sheboygan County 4-H could be felt throughout the grounds.

This year’s Readers’ Roundup garden was celebrated by so many visitors and organizations alike including: Sheboygan County Dairy Promotion Association with Addie the Cow, the Fairest of the Fair and future contestants, Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Mayor Ryan Sorenson, Harvest Street, and Peja Vu.

We hope you all make plans to visit this season to see our only temporary garden space before it’s gone!!
