Congratulations to SDTC member Mary Shea and Dazzee who completed at the Oshkosh Kennel Club's Barktoberfest agility trial. The pair esrned a QQ & a QQQ, and (unofficially) qyalified for the 2026 AKC National Agility Championships!

Kismet's Brigante, aka Chase, a Belgian Tervuren owned and loved by SDTC member Cheryl Bracht, earned his AKC Trick Dog Performer title on October 15, 2025, pending AKC approval. Chase is the third dog in SDTC history to earn this title, with SDTC member Trisha Flanigan's schnauzers, SilverPaw being the first, and her Casper being the second.

The AKC Performer Trick Dog title is the fourth of five Trick Dog Titles that can be earned. The titles, in order, are Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Performer, and Performer Premier. Each title requires at least 10 new tricks, and the advanced levels require props and no luring is allowed. The Performer Premier title requires the dog and handler to perform a skit, which combines the learned tricks into a story. "And that's where Chase and I are headed next!"
