A special volunteer project came full circle this week at our Sheboygan Cares Food Pantry! 🤝

Last month, Sargento Cheese employees joined us for United Way of Sheboygan County's to assemble special meal bags filled with ingredients and recipe cards. On Monday, our pantry volunteers helped distribute these ready-to-make meal bags to guests driving through.

A big thank you to Sargento volunteers, United Way and our pantry volunteers for helping bring these meals to our neighbors' tables! 🍝🍲🌮

Scouting for Food is this Saturday! 🥫

Scouting America, Bay-Lakes Council will be collecting nonperishable food donations throughout the Sheboygan area this Saturday, October 17, to help stock the shelves at Sheboygan County Food Bank.

If you received a Scouting for Food donation bag or flyer, please consider filling a bag with nonperishable food items and placing it outside for pickup on Saturday.

Every donation helps us provide nutritious food to neighbors throughout Sheboygan County. 💚

✨ Help make the magic of Making Spirits Bright happen! 🎄

The holiday season is right around the corner and we rely on volunteers to help collect and transfer food donations each night at Rotary Making Spirits Bright. From Nov. 27 through Dec. 31, pairs or groups of four volunteers are needed to pick up one of our trucks, drive it to Evergreen Park, help load donated food into grocery carts and bring the donations back to Sheboygan County Food Bank. Drivers must have a valid driver's license.

It's a great opportunity to give back with family, friends or coworkers while helping us keep food available for our neighbors this holiday season! ❤️

Join us! Tuesday, October 13 | 3:00 - 5:00 pm at the Sheboygan County Food Bank 3115 N. 21st Street, Sheboygan for our first shred event and food drive. See below for a list of accepted and unacceptable items. We hope to see you there!

What to Bring:
✅ Paper only: tax forms, junk mail, checks, file folders, blueprints, photographs, clean paper, file folders.
✅ Remove staples, paper clips, binder clips, rubber bands.
✅ Please use paper bags (plastic bags cannot be shredded) 50 lbs max.

🚫 Not Accepted: 3-ring binders, hanging file folders, cardboard, large clips, hardcover books, telephone books, plastic bags, packing materials, transparencies, ID badges, licenses, credit cards, CDs, DVDs, tapes, disks, backup tapes, VCR tapes, common trash, hazardous or medical waste materials, magnetic media, x-rays, rx bottles, computers and accessories, microfilm, microfiche, paraffin blocks, glass slides.

❤️ Give Back, Too! Bring one bag of food for each bag of shredding you bring.

We’ll also be collecting canned soup, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned fruit, pasta, pasta sauce, hygiene items (toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, etc.), and monetary donations to support the Sheboygan County Food Bank.

This upcoming holiday season, help stock the shelves at Sheboygan County Food Bank by collecting food with your coworkers, friends, family or neighbors!

Last November and December, our community held more than 140 food drives and collected nearly 50,000 pounds of donations for Sheboygan County Food Bank and our network of local food pantries.

Our team can provide resources, including donation boxes. Most-needed items include:

How is our community doing? Join Healthy Sheboygan County on Wednesday, October 7th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jake’s, a Lakeland Community (529 Ontario Ave), for a Data Walk Open House.

This interactive event is designed to share findings from our 2026 Community Health Needs Assessment, including data from our Community Input Survey and local health reports. There are no formal presentations. Participants are invited to walk through at their own pace, visit dedicated stations for our various Action Teams, and share their thoughts on local health strategies.

Last week, we had the chance to celebrate some very important people—our volunteers! 🎊

Week after week, our regular volunteers show up ready to give their time, talents and energy to help our neighbors. We celebrated them with an appreciation party featuring lunch, treats, beverages, and karaoke!

It was a small way to say a very big thank you for everything they do. Their dedication makes so much of our work possible and we are incredibly grateful to have them as part of the Sheboygan County Food Bank family. 💚
