Shawnee Trail Days

Shawnee Trail Days This festival celebrates Shawnee's rich and colorful history depicting Pioneer and Native American lifestyles. Contest will include best cobbler and corn bread.

It is our extreme pleasure to announce our newest addition to our family, "Shawnee Trail Days". This festival will celebrate our county's rich history as we celebrate those who helped shaped our great city. From Pioneer to Native American lifestyles this festival offers something for everyone. The festival will begin on Friday evening, June 20th, all day Saturday, June 21st with activities coming

to a close with Community Church Services on Sunday June 22nd. Activities include the Santa Fe Depot Educational Center featuring exhibits such as branding demonstrations, working chuck wagon, gunfighters, square dancers and wood carvers. There will be fun games including watermelon seed spitting contest, sack race, hog calling contest and cow chip toss. Down on Bell Street we will have live bands, art exhibits, commercial vendors and wineries. Be sure and catch Miss Jessie's All Girl Saloon Review which takes place at Coney Island (Hot Dogs) Saloon. Join us Sunday for biscuits and gravy before our community wide church service. Then stay for our family fun and games while picnicking on the grounds and enjoying great bluegrass music.
