Disciples Made

Disciples Made Join the movement.

We equip pastors and leaders to multiply disciples and mobilize leaders who live Fully Alive in Jesus through a reproducible ecosystem that transforms churches from addition to multiplication. Disciples Made is a series of intentional Christian small group experiences that develop and optimize a person's character and calling to make the God-sized IMPACT they were designed to make. Disciples Made

is a combination of community, ancient habits, and paradigm-shaping reading that catalyzes the work of God's Spirit in a disciple helping them become FULLY ALIVE!

What if the problem isn’t your preaching, your programs, or your people?

What if the problem is your scorecard?

Because what you measure is what you build.

If we mostly measure attendance, budgets, activity, and applause, we shouldn’t be surprised when we keep building addition systems — even while talking about multiplication.

The shift from addition to multiplication starts with honest clarity.

Are we measuring activity?
Or are we measuring transformation?

Character × Calling = Impact.

It sounds simple, but it gives leaders a different way to think about disciple-making.

Character is Christ being formed in us.

Calling is Christ being expressed through us.

Impact is what happens when both grow together.

The goal is not just more activity, more knowledge, or more church involvement.

The goal is measurable formation — disciples becoming more like Jesus and living sent with His power where they live, work, learn, and play.

That is the heart of healthy multiplication.

Character formed in us.

Calling expressed through us.

Impact multiplied through Jesus.

This is the heart of measurable disciple-making: not just more activity, but disciples becoming more like Jesus and living sent in the places God has already put them.

Calling is not just finding something you’re good at.

Calling is Christ expressed through you.

That means discipleship cannot only focus on who we are becoming, and it cannot only focus on what we are doing.

We need both.

Character without calling becomes private spirituality disconnected from mission.

Calling without character becomes giftedness without Christlikeness.

But when Christ is formed in us and expressed through us, impact begins to multiply.

That’s why healthy disciple-making forms both character and calling.

Character × Calling = Impact

What is your church’s scorecard quietly building?

In Episode 5 of Breaking the Addition Addiction on the Disciples Made Podcast, Brian Phipps and Jason Phelps talk about one of the most significant battlegrounds in the shift from addition to multiplication: what we measure.

Attendance matters.
Budgets matter.
Activity matters.

But when those become the dominant measurements of success, they can quietly train a church to keep building addition systems — even while talking about multiplication.

This episode helps church leaders ask a better question:

Are we only measuring activity, or are we measuring transformation?

A church can have a full calendar… and still struggle to produce transformation.

That’s the tension Brian Phipps and Jason Phelps unpack in Episode 4 of Breaking the Addition Addiction.

Because activity and transformation are not the same thing.

“Activity answers the question, ‘What are people doing?’ Transformation answers the question, ‘Who are people becoming?’”

If you’re a pastor or church leader wrestling with discipleship, culture, or over-programming, this conversation will challenge you in the best way.

If we misdiagnose the problem, we will keep reinforcing the system that produced it.

More programs may create more activity.

Better-packaged events may create more engagement.

But activity is not the same as transformation.

If people are not being intentionally formed into disciple-makers, the answer is not simply to tweak the event. It is to redesign environments around formation, practice, relational depth, and multiplication.

Your system is perfectly designed to get the results you’re currently getting.

So the question is not, “How do we improve the program?”

The better question is:

“What kind of disciples is our current system actually producing?”

In Episode 4 of *Breaking the Addition Addiction*, Brian Phipps and Jason Phelps unpack why church activity can look like momentum without producing real transformation.

What if your church is incredibly active… but not actually producing transformation?

In Episode 4 of Breaking the Addition Addiction, Brian Phipps and Jason Phelps unpack the difference between keeping people busy and actually forming disciples who become more like Jesus.

Because activity can fill a calendar without reshaping a life.

This episode will challenge the way you think about programs, events, discipleship, and what actually produces multiplication.
