Must love dogs. Must appreciate naps. Must understand that some ladies prefer a backyard over a long romantic walk. 😂

Ladybug is 12, fabulous, and officially accepting applications for her next great love story!

Our sweet Buggy has plenty of personality, a smile that melts hearts, and a few very reasonable requests for her future home.

She's looking for a fenced yard, minimal stairs, and a family who appreciates a laid-back senior girl. She'd be happy as your one-and-only or could potentially share her home with a carefully introduced canine companion.

And with cooler weather on the way? This Malamute mix is about to be in her element! ❄️

At Imagine FURever Ranch, we believe every senior dog deserves a soft place to land, a warm bed, and someone to love them.

And sometimes, that special someone is a FOSTER!

Fostering gives our senior doggos the comfort of a home while they wait for their FURever families. It also allows us to make room at The Ranch for another senior dog in need.

Remember that handsome face we gave you a sneak peek of? 👀 Meet Austin — officially! 💙

Austin is an 8-year-old, 80-pound Goldendoodle, and this big, handsome guy is finally ready for us to start looking for his FURever home.

Austin came to The Ranch after spending time in a busy shelter, where he was described as very laid back and calm — even with all the activity happening around him. That tells you quite a bit about this sweet boy.

When Austin arrived, he was dealing with a skin allergy, and we intentionally held off on promoting him while we focused on getting him comfortable and feeling better. And what a difference! He has improved significantly and is doing great.
His skin allergy is something his future family will need to be aware of and prepared to continue managing, but it certainly doesn’t define him.

What does?

That sweet face. ❤️

That calm demeanor.

And one very handsome senior boy who deserves a soft place to land.

We think Austin is ready to start looking for his people.

🎂🐾 A Birthday Wish That Came True for Our Ranch Doggos! ❤️

Some birthdays are celebrated with cake, presents and parties. But one very special 8-year-old decided to celebrate hers by giving back! 🥹💕

On Saturday, Eleanor visited Imagine FURever Ranch with her dad and younger sister, bringing along some very special birthday gifts. But these weren't gifts she received for herself. Instead, Eleanor asked her party guests to bring donations for our Ranch doggos in place of birthday presents for her! 🎁🐶

What an incredibly thoughtful and selfless act of kindness!

At just 8 years old, Eleanor's generosity and compassion are an inspiration. At an age when most kids are excited about what they'll receive for their birthday, she chose to think of others — especially our senior dogs who deserve all the love and comfort we can give them.

To Eleanor, her family and everyone who contributed to her birthday donation collection, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️

You didn't just bring gifts to The Ranch. You brought smiles to our volunteers, comfort to our doggos and a beautiful reminder that kindness has no age limit.

🍂🐾 Mother Nature may still think it's summer, but we're officially in a FALL state of mind at The Ranch! 🎃

We're open today from 10a-2p, and while the temperatures may be a little warmer than we'd like for October, our senior pups aren't complaining! They're just happy it's Saturday and time for visitors. ❤️

Stop by, spend some time with our pack, and maybe meet your next best friend. Whether you're considering adoption, fostering, or just need a little senior dog therapy, we'd love to see you!

🤎 Reno is in the spotlight! 🤎

Our sweet boy is featured in the latest issue of West End Neighbors! This monthly publication helps connect Shawnee residents with local families, organizations, businesses and events—and we are so grateful for its continued support in sharing the stories of our senior doggos.

Reno is a 12-year-old Chocolate Lab and 89 pounds of pure, lovable Labradorableness. He is calm, gentle and affectionate, with the kind of sweet face that is nearly impossible to resist.

Reno has Cushing’s disease, which is managed with medication, and weakness in his back legs. He attends physical therapy to help strengthen his muscles and improve his mobility. What he needs now is a committed family willing to provide the ongoing care—and abundant love—this wonderful senior deserves.

🐾 PLOT TWIST: Toby is not a Lab. 😂

After calling this handsome senior a Lab mix all this time, Toby’s DNA results are officially in… and apparently he had other plans.

Our sweet 14-year-old gentleman is actually:
35% American Field Pointer
25% Redbone Coonhound
15% Boxer

plus a little Treeing Walker Coonhound, Labrador Retriever, German Shorthaired Pointer, American Foxhound, Boston Terrier and Pit Bull…

…and somehow…

3% PUG. 😂

We have questions.

Honestly, the Pointer/Hound mix makes a lot of sense. Toby loves a slow stroll, taking his time to sniff everything along the way, then settling in beside you for some quality couch time.

The Pug? We’re still investigating. 😆

So while his breed description may be changing, everything we love about Toby stays exactly the same: he’s gentle, affectionate, easygoing and one of the sweetest senior guys you could hope to meet.

And yes — Toby is still looking for a foster or FURever HOME. ❤️
