Life at The Ranch can be overwhelming for some dogs, and sweet Toby is one of them. While he is gentle, loving, and easygoing with people, the busy environment and constant activity have made it difficult for him to truly relax and show us all of the wonderful things that make him special.

What Toby really needs is a quiet home where he can decompress, settle into a routine, and simply enjoy being someone's beloved companion. His ideal home would be one where he can be the only dog, allowing him to soak up all the love, attention, and peaceful moments he deserves.

More than 600 days ago, Rosso arrived at Imagine FURever Ranch.

More than 600 days of waiting.
More than 600 days of watching other dogs leave for their FURever homes.
More than 600 days of hoping that today might be his day.

And we honestly don't understand why.

💙🐾 Conrad is proof that the best things in life are worth slowing down for. 🐾💙

Some dogs burst into a room. Conrad quietly strolls in, steals your heart, and settles in beside you like he’s been your best friend forever.

This handsome 9-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer is all about the simple pleasures:
☀️ Sunny spots for napping
🎾 Tennis balls (the more, the better)
🚶 Leisurely walks with plenty of time to sniff
💕 Being close to his people

Conrad is gentle, affectionate, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He has a grade 5 heart murmur and Cushing’s disease, which means he needs a little extra care—but he gives back tenfold in love, loyalty, and companionship.

We know there’s someone out there who sees what we see: a sweet senior boy who deserves a soft bed, a loving family, and a place to spend his golden years.

🐾🎉 FIVE DOGS. ONE PARK. ZERO MUD BATHS. 🎉🐾

Last week's dog park adventure was a big one! Dutch, King, Tommy, Toby, and Kota all piled in for an afternoon of exploring, sniffing, socializing, and stretching their legs.

The pups had a blast roaming the park, investigating every interesting scent they could find, and soaking up some much-needed exercise and enrichment. There was plenty of tail wagging, happy wandering, and canine camaraderie along the way.

And perhaps the most shocking development of the day...

🤯 All five dogs managed to stay out of the giant muddy puddle!

Honestly, we're still not sure how that happened. 😂

These outings are more than just fun—they help our dogs stay active, build confidence, and enjoy new experiences while they wait for their FURever families.

Meet King doing what he does best... soaking up the sunshine, flashing his signature smile, and stealing hearts without even trying. 💛🐾

At 8 years old, King has mastered the art of enjoying life's simple pleasures. A sunny spot? Perfect. A belly rub? Even better. A human to tell him he's a good boy? Now we're talking!

King's journey hasn't always been easy, but you'd never know it from that smile. Despite everything he's overcome, he remains one of the happiest, most loving dogs at the Ranch. He loves people, gets along with other dogs, previously lived with cats, and is always up for an adventure—especially if it involves chasing squirrels. 🐿️😂

King is:

☔🐾 Woofstock Update 🐾☔

After keeping a close eye on the forecast, we've made the difficult decision to postpone Woofstock to Saturday, July 18th.

While we were looking forward to celebrating with everyone this weekend, the significant rain currently in the forecast would make it difficult to provide the safe, comfortable, and fun experience we want for our guests, volunteers, vendors, musicians, and, of course, our senior dogs.

We know this may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. However, we'd rather wait a few weeks and give everyone the amazing Woofstock experience they deserve!

The good news? 🎉

Everything you were looking forward to is still happening:

Just look at that smile.

If happiness could be bottled, it would probably look a lot like Tommy.

This handsome 5-year-old, 30-pound bundle of joy recently joined us for the Old Shawnee Days Parade, and he was an absolute rockstar. While many dogs might be overwhelmed by the crowds, noise, and excitement, Tommy took it all in stride. He spent much of the route happily greeting people, soaking up attention, and making new friends along the way.

And the verdict from parade-goers?

Everyone loved him!

Honestly, we're not surprised. Tommy has a way of winning people over wherever he goes. He's friendly, social, confident, and always seems to have a smile on his face. Whether he's meeting strangers, hanging out with other dogs, or posing for photos, Tommy approaches life with enthusiasm and a wagging tail.

He's the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter—and we'd love to see him enjoying those days with a family of his own.
