Calling all Researchers….

Heritage Home Researchers needed!

Shawnee Hills Blooms is looking to expand the number of homes on our Heritage Home Trail. To do that, we need to research the actual “build date” of our approximately 30 “1901” Heritage homes.

If you are a history buff, a research addict, a computer whiz, or just someone that wants to help, we would love to hear from you.

🌸 Spring Flower Planting Volunteers Needed! 🌸

Spring is finally here, and Mother Nature is giving us the perfect chance to bring our community planters to life. We’d love your help making our village bloom!

Planting Timeline: May 12–21
How It Works:
• Volunteers will be assigned specific planters
• Flowers are already grouped for each planter
• Simple planting instructions will be provided
• Plant whenever it fits your schedule during the planting window
*Everything delivered right to your door!

This Saturday is the 2025 Wild Ones Columbus Native Plant Sale! This event is hosted by brings three of your favorite Central Ohio native plant nurseries together in one place! We will be joined by and to offer an amazing selection of native plant species both common and rare. Get there early for the best selection as plants tend to go quickly at this sale! 🌿 Community Pride in Action 🌿

Blooms hosted a town-wide clean up around the village on Saturday, and it was wonderful to see so many families come together to help keep our community beautiful. From picking up litter to sharing smiles and conversation along the way, the morning was filled with teamwork, kindness, and community spirit.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a positive impact around the village. Small acts together make a big difference! 💚♻️

Native plant sale.

Girl Scout Troop 6220 from Eli Pinney was here, transferring the plants they started in milk jugs this winter 🌱

We moved them into 3” pots for the girls to take home and plant - and they were excited, hands-on, and so much fun to have around.

Every girl left with plants to grow, and Blooms will use any extras in the Village beds. A win all around!

Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen—education is always at the heart of what we do 💚

Pink Out Shawnee Hills - it’s started. We had a great time decorating planters this weekend. Such creativity. Thanks to all that participated.

We have about 60 milk jugs ready and set for planting 🌱

We’ll be planting them with the Girl Scouts on January 24th at 10:00 at Tom and Morag’s house (191 W Mohawk), and anyone who’s interested is welcome to join us!

Just a quick note—we’re all set on milk jugs and don’t need any additional ones at this time. Thank you so much for your continued support of Blooms! 💚
