TODAY MY DREAMS CAME TRUE!!!! BRIDGE THE GAP signed on our apt complex in Bonduel....it is officially ours!!!! Been ugly crying all day!!

Tonight at Bridge the Gap Shawano was acts of kindness outing. Btg is trying to teach all of our clients that 1 act of kindness that you do can make someone's day and change the world.....today our group went to 2 local flowers shops in Shawano and told them that our teen and young adult group wanted to buy flowers and write a simple note " bridge the gap thinks you are important" and hand them out randomly around Shawano......the kids were so excited and they just got and felt the concept!!!!! Thanks you to THE STOCK PEDDLER and OLLIES FLOWERS shops for supporting our mission today and DONATING over 50 beautiful flowers to be able to hand out in the community!!!!! Truely amazing businesses!!!!

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!

6 years ago I started thinking about my next dream for Bridge the Gap. I dreamed that one day I would be able to create a safe, stable, happy, educational place for our adult clients to live as independently as possible, grow and function into their own lives and to be safe in their own space.

Well Friday I bought an apt complex in Bonduel to build the next step of my dreams. We have recieved and accepted offer and Bridge the Gap will be the proud owners if all inspection go in the next 45 days.......I cant even describe the feeling of figuring this out.

We are defn going to need good thoughts and prayers a lot of support in the upcoming months....this is super scary but so exciting.

I would like to invite all of Btg families and clients to an informational meeting Mon Sept 29 at 530 pm at the Shawano center.

So here is our new building!!!!!!

Location: Bridge the Gap, Inc. – Shawano Center
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, Year-Round
Wage: Based on experience
Bridge the Gap, Inc. is a community-focused organization supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. We’re seeking two Direct Support Staff to join our team at the Shawano Center.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily group programming and activities
• Support clients and students in structured and recreational settings
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
• Provide flexible support where needed throughout the day
• Collaborate with staff to meet client needs and goals
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary in human services a plus)
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred
• Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must pass a background check
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Thursday (summer and school year)
Compensation: Based on experience; training provided

Attention all my family and friends:

BRIDGE THE GAP has a family in need, please help if you can! One of our long time clients at Btg needs help...
This family's needs a new well drilled because their well for water has stopped. They have been without water for a couple weeks so they have been having to go to shower, wash cloths and get drinking and cooking water from a friend's house. They have had a professional come out to give them a quote for over $12,000 to get it fixed before winter.
As many of you know it is hard raising a child on the Autism Spectrum but try doing it without water, their life has been completely affected by this and has turned their world upside down.
I am kindly asking for help for them, if anyone would like to donate to help with the cost I would be forever greatful. The picture is Bridge the Gap account to send a donation to Bridge the Gap so we can help this family out.
This family does a lot of things for Btg. Last year they donated ALL the Christmas gifts for everyone at our Christmas party, the mom has made many baskets for our events and donates many items to the center that their child doesn't use anymore.

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING!!!! ANY AMOUNT WILL GET THEM CLOSER TO GETTING A NEW WELL SYSTEM!

Bridge the Gap Adult program community service project was to make a blanket and give it to someone that is a great person and does for their community. Without any prompts from the staff our adults chose Wade Jeske. The kids definitely chose right....this man donates many hrs to Btg, he serves on the board, and he puts a huge event on for us every year. Thank you for all you do Wade Jeske
