So much fun was had yesterday! We learned all about Wisconsin!! The kiddos made barn quilts, tasted yummy cheese donated by Belle Plaine Cheese, ate venison meat sticks( from a deer killed in Shawano County by one of our own CC kiddos and processed locally at Pingel Processing), and learned about farming from Kraig Rosenow! The kiddos LOVED climbing up in the combine!

We had yet another wonderful session! We headed out to the home of our new friend Edna. She warmly welcome all of us into her home, fed us cookies, taught us about her culture, answered questions, took us on a tour of the Amish school, and let us pet her horse!

Many of the kiddos were inspired by the Amish approach to "off the grid" living. Some even thought it would be fun to live "off the grid" for a bit...so perhaps you could try a no-electronics couple of days with your kiddo;) to see how they like it!

A great time was had by all at our session on Wednesday! The kids learned all about the Tongan culture from Matt Kaveinga. They tasted Tongan food, learned the Haka, and perfected a few Tongan phrases!

A huge thank you to Officer Musolff for coming out to share all about Police culture with the kiddos today! They had so many questions and loved having him. Many thanks to Charlie's County Market for donating donuts for today's session. We have a great community!

Many thanks to Lucy Burr for her wonderful presentation on Native American culture! It was a true delight! The kiddos are like little sponges soaking up all the beauty of the cultures around them--I love it!!

We had another awesome session yesterday learning about the Mexican culture! A huge thank you to Monique Cherie Allen for coming and sharing! The kiddos practiced saying words in Spanish, tasted Mexican candies and Mexican hot cocoa, made tissue paper flowers and learned so much!

A huge thank you to Terri Marotz for coming and sharing her beautiful Hawaiian culture with us today! I'm not sure how we missed a photo op with her, but we will get one the next time for certain! Please ask what your kiddos learned today! They should know a ton about pineapple and what animals are/are not allowed in Hawaii!

We had another awesome session on Wednesday. We learned about the Hmomg culture from our new friend Leu! Please take a moment to ask your kiddo(s) what they learned/what they loved about the Hmong culture! Thanks for sharing your wonderful children!
