Thankful today and every day for our Mom. Miss her a little extra today. Happy Mother’s Day in Heaven to the woman this foundation honors!

I’m not motherless.

I have a mom.

I wouldn’t be here without her.

She continues to live on in me.

As her legacy…
I will honor her by carrying out her traditions, using her recipes and talking about her.

My job now is to carry on her light.
She will not be forgotten on my watch.

I didn’t lose her.
I know exactly where she is.

She is in Heaven.
Where she is keeping her light on for me.

For the day we reunite.

But until then…

I am an extension of her here on this Earth

That means living the life she gave me to the fullest.

And I will try to continue all the amazing things she brought to this world.

Right where she left off.

With another Prom giveaway in the books, I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who makes this possible! My family and friends who show up to set up and volunteer all weekend, everyone who donates gowns, suits, shoes and basket raffle items, the ones who show up to tear down and pack the trucks, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! It definitely takes a village to pull off an event of this size and I have the best villagers around! I love you all! You all helped over 200 local students get the items then need to go to their proms! It was a great weekend!
Looking forward to August and our Homecoming giveaway! 🦋
