Propempo International

Propempo International "Propempo" means "to send forward fully equipped". Founded 2003. Donations are tax-deductible.

Propempo International helps you and your local church become more effective in fulfilling the Great Commission for the glory of God. Propempo International — was created to come alongside churches to assist development of biblical, local church centered missions ministry. Our priority on local church centeredness together with extensive experience in cross-cultural and missions settings can acce

lerate your vision for fulfilling the Great Commission through your church. Propempo is involved in cross-cultural training, training and development of international workers, counsel and mentoring of church leaders as well as candidates for overseas service. The Lord has also graciously granted us the opportunity to lead and teach in strategic efforts overseas. We custom-develop and recommend policies, resources, curricula, and vision-focused plans for enabling your church to fully own and participate in developing, sending, supporting, and shepherding your own people. We are very grateful to God for the opportunities He has given us to serve and advance His church for His glory! We believe that God’s plan to glorify Jesus Christ among all nations begins with local churches and ends with indigenous local churches. God works through the means of proclamation of the Gospel, discipleship of believers, and training of biblically qualified, faithful church leaders, who will teach others, also. Foundational to our understanding of this message, to hope of response, and to stamina in the face of difficulties are the five solas:

* sola Scriptura – the Scriptures are inspired, authoritative, and sufficient for all Christian doctrine and practice;
* sola fide – salvation comes by faith alone
* sola gratia – salvation comes only by and through God’s grace
* solus Christus – salvation is by Christ alone
* soli Deo gloria – all glory is due to God alone

We hope you enjoy and interact with what you find here! Propempo ———-> “to send forward”

From chap. 16 - The Role of the Lead Pastor
Seek to engage the whole church. Pastor, you don’t have to do this all yourself. Delegate missions responsibilities to good people. Delegating is part of the role Ephesians 4:12 says Christ gave to church leaders: “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” Delegation means you allow people to wrap
their hands around it, take responsibility for it, and do it
on the church’s behalf. It means you trust people, but it
doesn’t mean you never verify that they’re doing the right
things or challenge them to excel in them. Engage the
whole church and delegate.

The theme of restoring missions in the local church arises from the
gap between biblical ideals and the prevailing practices among evan-
gelical churches today. The overall missions enterprise has gravitated
away from local church initiative, input, and involvement. ...
Missions will rise or fall on the local church’s ownership of missions.

"Any humanly-invented organization that assists in missions must remember that they are a bridesmaid, not the bride. They are stage-hands, not the star."

A far greater involvement of the congregation in selection (that is, of missionaries) would serve to eliminate some of those unhappy cases where young people go overseas as missionaries and are subsequently found to be fruitless misfits.

So emphatic is God about His glory being displayed throughout the earth, that I don't think a church should call itself missional unless it is seeking to serve locally, plant nationally, and engage an unreached people group globally. Without a global vision, there will always be a missing focus, resulting in a church out of balance.
