NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA: After a seasonably warm week ahead, it looks like we are going to see our first surge of cold air early next week that will send morning lows in the 20s and 30s, next Monday and Tuesday.

This has the potential to be our first hard freeze of the season with many locations spending several hours below freezing.

After a tense series of public hearings, the Coweta County Board of Commissioners set the millage rate at 4.688 mils, the same rate as the previous year.

Regarding the Coweta County Board of Commissioner's meeting on Tues Aug 6th, I contacted the administration Michael Fouts. He advised me on the rules for a change to a larger venue and pointed me to the portal where they are storing the audio recordings and minutes from the meeting. Please feel free to listen to the Tues. meeting in preparation for the next meetings on Aug 20 when the deciding vote on the proposed 39% tax increase will occur.
