doing so himself.” - Baden Powell. This weekend the Scoutmasters of Troop 2193 are teaching IOLS for the Coweta District. They will form patrols and learn the skills every First Class Scout should know. Looking forward to a great time being a Boy Scout for the weekend.

Yesterday was also clean up day for our Spring Camporee. Special thanks to those that helped secure a campsite for our Troop and clean it up. I really appreciate the help everyone does to help our Troop. Looking forward to a great weekend "Scouting the Frontier"

Great day at the Flint River Council merit badge day. Troop 2193 had a great turnoff adt the Scouts had a great time. We had 3 leaders teach merit badges (American Heritage, Electricity, and Railroading). Troop 2193 did the opening cermony and did a wonderful job. Way to go!!!

Scouts attending Summer Camp your first and second choices for Merit Badges is due in less than 10 days. Please try to have them at this week’s troop meeting so we can start setting up our needed excel spread sheet. Remember “NO” promises after March 29th that you will get what you wish if your late turning them in! BE PREPARED SO I CAN BE…

Also its time to start getting your Medical forms updated Parts ABC with insurance cards. Please turn in a two copies, one for the campmaster and one for the troop records. You should keep a copy for yourself! Make sure we are aware of any special medicine or allergies before we go to camp.

Aaron Strickland will have another work day for his Eagle project on Monday, March 19 from 2:00-6:00. They will be staining a fence so wear old clothes. Contact Aaron for more information.

A Special Thanks goes out to all the Scouts that participated at the Golden Eagle Dinner. The young men from Troops 144, 211, 2193, and the Ship Crew should be proud of themselves for impressing the businessmen from Coweta County to raise $74,756.00 to help Scouting.

Coweta Spring Camporee cleanup day on Saturday, March 24th starting at 8:00 am. Come out and help establish a new campsite for our Troop.

Flint River Merit Badge Day this Saturday, March 24 at Spalding High School, 433 Wilson Road, Griffin, GA 30224. Registration opens at 7:30 am and opening ceremony at 8:30 am. Classes end by 3:15 pm.

Just completed a great weekend at McIntosh Reserve. We had 20 Scouts attend this weekend and work on the Geocaching merit badge, Tenderfoot, and Second Class advancement requirements. Scouts working on the Geocaching merit badge found 4 caches in McIntosh Reserve. Great weather and great fun.
