Today would have been Hunter’s 24th birthday. ❤️ There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t miss him, say his name, tell a story or wonder what life would look like with him here. But today, especially, we celebrate the incredible 14 years we were blessed to have him and the impact his life continues to have.

Ten years ago, in the midst of unimaginable loss, the Hunter Scarbrough Foundation was created as a way to honor Hunter and keep his memory alive. What we could never have imagined was how many people would come alongside us, love our family, support our mission and help us turn his legacy into opportunities for so many deserving young people.

So today, on Hunter’s birthday, it feels fitting to share something that is both bittersweet and incredibly special.

On Friday, October 9th, we will hold our 10th and final Hunter Scarbrough Foundation Sporting Clays Tournament.

Ten years. Ten shoots. Countless memories. And more love and support than we could ever begin to repay.

While this will be our final clay shoot, it is NOT the end of the Hunter Scarbrough Foundation. Because of the generosity of so many over the years, we will continue awarding scholarships and honoring students who reflect the qualities that meant so much to Hunter and to us — faith, leadership, academics and service to others.

We hope everyone who has been part of this journey will join us for #10 as we celebrate Hunter, celebrate what all of you have helped accomplish, and make this last one our biggest and best yet.

Happy 24th birthday, Hunter. We love you, we miss you, and we will always be so proud to say your name. ❤️
