Type 1 Tough

Type 1 Tough Type 1 Tough is a charity organization that supports children with type 1 diabetes and their families living in the Shenango Valley and surrounding area.

We also raise funds for the Western and Central Pennsylvania chapter of JDRF. There are no resources in Mercer and Lawerence counties and surrounding area for people living with type 1 diabetes and their families. Our goal is to host events to allow these families to gather and network. Parents can share resources, successes and struggles. T1Ds can connect with their diabuddies. Siblings can hang

out with other siblings who understand what it is like to have a whole family working together to be a pseudo pancreas to keep a family member alive. In addition, we make donations to the Western and Central Pennsylvania Chapter of JDRF with a Type 1 Tough team in the annual One Walk.
