Who the Fupp is that?? Every day is Fupp day at Hollow Creek Farm. But Farm Friends, today IS Fupp Friday so let the shenanigans begin!! As you can see here, Fupp enjoys his position as leader of our good ol’ home alarm system and prides himself on his perimeter checks, his keen eyes, and ear-shattering bark-o-meter volume…even if it is he who sets off the alarm!

Farm Friends, did you know that Dark Brown (m), Light Brown (m) and Silver (f) are looking for Forever Homes? Well of course they have real names but we couldn't remember what they were when they arrived so the names just stuck. These are 1 year old, 45 lb siblings from the same litter. Mom was a Beagle mix, smaller in size. They probably have different dads (please Google that -- because we aren't explaining it). These happy poopers are fully vetted and ready for new homes. They are Perfectly crate trained. They can be shy with strangers, get along with other dogs, zero aggression with people, just shy and need more one on one time. Love toys! Great in the bath, learning some basic obedience. But they are true rescues and will need someone that can put time in with them and be their best new human friend. Are you that person? Fair warning.... if you sit on the sofa be prepared to share it and have your face licked off.
Breed: Beagle Mix
Age: 1
Weight: 45 lb
Spayed/Neutered/Vaccinated: Yes!
Training: Basic obedience.
Housetrained: Yes!
Crate trained: Yes!
Personality: Love toys, baths, face kissers, so sweet!
Other Dogs – ZERO aggression, love other dogs, submissive
Strangers – Shy but warm up
NOTE: All rescues need a hooman who commits to being their new best friend.

Let’s dive into the psyche of Fupp who is equal parts menace and soft-hearted tyrant, a dog who will shred your packages, shout at your television, colonize your bed, and extort cookies… then immediately curl up against your legs like the world’s most loyal (and slightly judgmental) hot-water bottle.
Yupp! It’s Fupp Friday, Farm Friends!

Farm Friends, do you remember Grandpa Harry? Well Grandpa is living his absolute best life at age 13ish here at Hollow Creek Farm.
We thank his miraculous recovery to the fine work and incredible care by the amazing Dr. Gretchen Kelly who did his (glaucoma) eye removal surgery, and lumps and bumps removal. BIG thanks to the entire team at Foothills Animal Clinic (Forest City, NC)! Thanks to their awesome care, our sweet senior guy is thriving and enjoying every moment of his golden years.
Amazon has Grandpa’s fave peanut butter & cleaning supplies: https://tinyurl.com/22sfzvc3
Grandpa Harry is a Hound Labrador Retriever type dog who came from animal control. He's been at Hollow Creek Farm for about three years.
We cannot recall where they found him but he was roaming about, stray, blind, Heart Worm positive, and covered in lumps and bumps of all sorts. He was going to be euthanized, so we said, "Let's give him a chance!"
Grandpa would not walk. At all. He was a hot mess when we got him to the vet. He was all discombobulated and so sad. And because he wouldn’t move they had to carry him. He literally would not walk. He was pinned to the ground and was going potty on himself. Grandpa wouldn’t walk because he was overwhelmed and terrified!
We had him neutered and took care of getting 12 lumps removed. (some of you wonderful Farm Friends donated to this!!) We did biopsies -- all negative -- and he came out fine from surgery. Then we brought him here and let him slowly get acclimated. We had to teach him how to walk and soon he was able to go everywhere!!
Then, Grandpa had his eye removed because he had glaucoma and his eye was really painful and ouchy. But not anymore!
Now he's a pirate who traverses the house, knows where the cookies are, comes for his pretend pills, walks around the yard with no problem, and likes all the other dogs! Yes, he can hear and he can definitely smell biscuits.
He goes to the front door when he has to potty.
Then he comes back to the door when he's done going potty.
He goes outside when he wants.
Basically, Grandpa gets and does whatever he wants. And get THIS: When everybody gets their pretend pills – some dogs get meds, others who see this happen, want to be a part of it, so we just give everyone pretend pills on a spoon. (Well, we have to. It's not fair otherwise.)
Except Grandpa!
Grandpa gets TWO pretend pills because he's an old dude.
He's perfectly fine. He's just a little slower.
Grandpa is staying here because we realized that if he had another big change he could shut down again and it's not fair to him. And we love Grandpa!!
Grandpa's daily checklist is:
🐕Enjoying leisurely afternoon walk-abouts.
🍪Eating lots (and lots!) of delicious cookies.
🫳Getting all the butt scratches his heart desires.♥️
🪒Relaxing during his routine brushings.
We are so incredibly grateful for the team at Foothills Animal Clinic that loves our senior rescues just as much as we do.
Cheers to more slow strolls, yummy treats, and pampering for our favorite old man!

A sneak peek at a very special project close to our hearts here at Hollow Creek Farm. 🐾
Over the years, our rescue has been a safe haven for so many incredible animals. While our goal is always to find them forever families, some precious souls spend their final days with us, surrounded by love, warmth, and dignity. They become a permanent part of our story.
To honor their memory, we have been quietly building a dedicated Memorial Garden right here at the farm. This is a true labor of love—hand-crafted entirely by us using rocks we’ve hand-carved themselves, repurposed materials, and a lot of elbow grease so that every single dollar still goes directly to the daily care of the rescues.
This peaceful space isn't just for the residents who crossed the rainbow bridge in our care. We want to invite our incredible adopter family to be a part of it, too. If you have adopted a beloved pet from Hollow Creek Farm who has since passed away, we would love to help you memorialize them in this special space.
We are finalizing the details and will share options shortly on how you can have the memory of your furry or feathered loved one included.
Stay tuned for more updates as we put the finishing touches on this sacred ground. Thank you for walking this journey with us, in life and in memory. ❤️

This Fupp Friday we introduce Fupp vs. Amazon Boxes. Fupp is a Boxer, so maybe your donations that arrive in Amazon or Chewy boxes have some sort of meaning to him?
Amazon Boxes are Fupp’s sworn enemies. The second a box appears on the gate, Fupp transforms from sleepy loaf into a one-dog demolition crew. He tears into the cardboard with focused, joyful aggression, leaving a trail of shredded packaging and deep personal satisfaction. Watching him work is like watching a tiny, wrinkled wrecking ball settle a score.
It gives him purpose.
So we allow it.
He is now tuned into the sound of the Amazon (or UPS, or FedEx) truck engine and bursts out the door when he hears it coming down the road.
Want to see him in action again? Here’s our Chewy Wish List: https://shorturl.at/osxB4

Duncan & Mr. Di**le are visiting while their people are off doing silly people things. People don't do important things like sniffing butts or digging up moles in the yard...but we SO appreciate their people for bringing the furry guests canned food AND a huge 12 pack of pooper towels! Duncan & Di**le tried to be squatters in Grandpa's crate.
