Huge swaths of forest in Shallotte Point are again being unnecessarily clear cut. It is possible to remove only trees and vegetation from the footprint of the home and preserve mature trees and the natural character of the land but this builder, along with many others in Brunswick county, refuse to do so.

The USDA soil map provides further confirmation that the land being developed for "Forest Run" is unsuitable for building. Hydric soil is saturated with water, low O2 condition, and very poorly draining soil indicative of wetlands.

Building on hydric soil is "generally not recommended due to its poor stability and high potential for structural issues, often requiring significant mitigation strategies like deep foundations or specialized construction techniques to overcome the challenges posed by the wet, anaerobic conditions."

These development partners including Steve Shuttleworth are irresponsible developers.

Building on hydric soil is "generally not recommended due to its poor stability and high potential for structural issues, often requiring significant mitigation strategies like deep foundations or specialized construction techniques to overcome the challenges posed by the wet, anaerobic conditions."

These development partners including Steve Shuttleworth are irresponsible developers. Port City Daily reported on the numerous stop work orders regarding several of Shuttleworth's developments.l (which were operating illegally and without proper permits).
