✨ A Message from Director Sara Miller ✨
For many families, Carol Nursery School is where some of childhood’s very first memories begin.
As I prepare to retire, I’ve been reflecting on the thousands of small moments that have filled our classrooms over the years.
The first brave wave goodbye.
Paint-covered hands lifted proudly.
The quiet confidence that grows when a child feels truly known.
Carol has always been more than a preschool. It is a community rooted in warmth, trust, and deep respect for childhood. Leading this school has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
As I step into retirement, I do so with enormous gratitude — and great confidence in what comes next. Erin Magaw will step into leadership next year, and I know she will continue to nurture the thoughtful, relationship-based environment that makes Carol so special.
Carol is a nonprofit school, and tuition alone does not fully support everything that makes this community thrive — our exceptional teachers, small class sizes, beautiful learning spaces, and individualized care for every child.
As we honor the past and look ahead to the future, I invite our Carol community — parents, grandparents, alumni families, and friends — to support this year’s Carol Nursery School Annual Fund.
Your support helps us:
• Sustain outstanding teachers
• Preserve small, relationship-centered classrooms
• Provide financial assistance to families
• Maintain and enhance our learning spaces
• Ensure Carol continues to flourish for generations of children.
If Carol has been meaningful to your family, I hope you will consider making a gift of any size.

If your family has been part of Carol over the years, we would be so grateful if you would share this post and help spread the word. Many alumni families remain deeply connected to this special place, and your help ensures Carol’s impact continues for generations to come.
With deep gratitude,
Sara Miller
