Bellefaire JCB Bellefaire JCB provides a variety of behavioral health, substance abuse, and education and prevention services.

Bellefaire JCB helps more than 26,000 youth & their families yearly achieve resiliency, dignity and self-sufficiency through its 25+ programs. Services include outpatient counseling, school-based counseling, prevention and early intervention (including Social Advocates for Youth - SAY), specialized and therapeutic foster care, adoption, and a homeless youth and street outreach program. Residential treatment includes critical care stabilization, drug and alcohol treatment, and transitional and independent living. Other programs include JDN Early Childhood Center, Jewish Big Brother Big Sister, and Monarch Center for Autism, which provides therapeutic, residential, academic and vocational programs and services.

After more than a decade with Bellefaire JCB, JoAnna continues to embrace new opportunities to support youth and families. She has been building relationships with Cloverleaf schools to help expand school-based services in Medina County while also stepping up to support Claggett Middle School during a staffing transition.

Since joining the department at the beginning of the school year, Sarah has made a seamless transition into her role and school placement. She has independently completed multiple intakes and treatment plans, collaborated with school staff, and built connections with families to help involve them in services. A suitcase can mean so much more than simply having a place to pack your belongings.

For many youth in Bellefaire's Residential Treatment, the journey to a more stable home has included frequent moves and uncertainty. Having a suitcase to take with them when they leave can turn an everyday item into something meaningful, giving them a special place to keep the things that belong to them as they move forward.

“Some of our clients are moving from home to home, shelter to shelter, and have never experienced being able to care for their belongings. They are often moving with black trash bags. Being able to provide our clients with luggage at discharge reminds them that they are valuable and the things that are dear to them should be treated with respect.”

We have an urgent need for new or gently used luggage to help provide youth with a suitcase of their own as they transition home.

We’re grateful to have joined Humble Design for their Annual Welcome Home event!

Bellefaire JCB’s Christina Christian, Basic Center Coordinator, joined Jessica Sherwood, Director of Operations for Runaway, Homeless, and Missing Youth Services, and Rebecca Prather, Senior Director of Unsheltered, Missing and Transitional Youth Services, to celebrate Humble Design’s work supporting individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.

Christina was honored to speak about the impact of their work and our partnership. We’re proud to collaborate with Humble Design to support youth and families in our community.
