As President of Eastside Toastmasters, one of my goals this year is to place renewed emphasis on the craft of speaking.
Pathways gives us a valuable structure for growth, helping members develop as both communicators and leaders. I want us to build on that foundation by spending more time focusing on the skills that make a speech truly connect: storytelling, humor, vocal variety, clarity, persuasion, presence, and confidence.
Completing projects is important. But the larger goal is growth.
I want every member to be able to say, βI am not just completing projects. I am becoming a better speaker.β
