Our cheerleaders were absolutely amazing today as well! 📣🐯 They brought the energy, spirit, and support our athletes needed all day long. We are so proud of every one of you!

The Shady Spring Tigers are back at home as we take on Raleigh West! We’re looking forward to another great day of football, cheer, family, and community support! 🐯

⏰ ATHLETE ARRIVAL

Athletes should arrive 1 hour before their scheduled game time.

🏈 Football players should meet their coaches at the field house.

Please remember that coaches will only be at the field house 1 hour prior to their game. If you arrive earlier than that, please make sure your child has adult supervision until their coach is ready for them.

💧 DON’T FORGET THOSE WATER BOTTLES!
It’s going to be a busy day, so please make sure your athlete comes prepared to stay hydrated.

⛺ CANOPY REMINDER

Canopies must be placed on the grass/group area or in the top half of the bleachers so they do not obstruct the view of other spectators.

🙋‍♀️ VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED

We still need:

- 1 volunteer — C-Team Gate
- 1 volunteer — C-Team Concession
- 2 volunteers — Flag Concession

As a gentle reminder, every participant is required to have ONE volunteer spot during the season. Coaches are not excluded from this requirement.

A special thank you to our volunteers, parents, coaches, and fans who showed up to support our kids and our league. Without you, Shady Spring Youth Football Athletics would not be possible!

🏈 Requested Home Game Times

These are our requested times for home games. Please remember that times are subject to change based on field and referee availability.

Saturday Games

3:00 PM — Dream Team

4:00 PM — Flag Football

5:00 PM — C-Team Football

6:30 PM — B-Team Football

8:00 PM — A-Team Football

Sunday Games

1:00 PM — A-Team Football

2:30 PM — B-Team Football

4:00 PM — C-Team Football

5:30 PM — Flag Football

6:30 PM — Dream Team

👑 Homecoming

Our Homecoming game will be Sunday, October 4th.

Minimum fundraising requirement to walk: $50

You may begin fundraising at any time

We will have a Homecoming meeting next week with additional details.

⛺ Game Day Canopies

Canopies must be positioned at least halfway up the bleachers or on the ground.

If your canopy is not in an approved location, you will be asked to take it down.

🙋 Volunteers

Please arrive promptly for your assigned volunteer time. Your punctuality allows another parent to be relieved so they can watch their child play.

We appreciate everyone doing their part to make game days run smoothly!

🎟️ Season Passes & Admission

Season passes will be available for purchase at the first home game.

Season Pass: $10 — admits one adult to all 4 home games

Single Game Admission: $3 per adult

🚨 Game Day Concerns

If you have an issue or concern during a game involving a coach, player, crowd, or anything else, please find a Board Member.

Board Members will be wearing blue shirts with “BOARD” on the back.

If there is an emergency and you cannot locate a Board Member, please ask the press box to make an announcement.

🍴 Concessions & Food Trucks

Our concession stand will have:

Pepperoni rolls from Padrinos

Hot dogs

Buffalo chicken dip

Nachos

Chips

Candy

Candy bars

Drinks

Snow Biz Food Truck will be at all home games with snow cones and hibachi.

El Mariachi Food Truck will also be joining us for Senior Night and Homecoming.

🚗 Parking

DO NOT PARK IN THE FIRE LANE.

Please also use caution when parking near the gate and make sure your vehicle is positioned safely to avoid the gate hitting it.

⚠️ PRACTICE UPDATE ⚠️

We sincerely apologize for the late cancellation of practice today. Unfortunately, the weather brought lightning into the area, and when it comes to the safety of our players, coaches, and families, we will always err on the side of caution. ❤️💙💛

We have scheduled a make-up practice for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12th, from 7:15 PM–9:15 PM at Shady Spring High School.

🏈 Flag Football may be dismissed at 8:45 PM.

⚠️ The weather forecast for tomorrow is not looking much better, so please keep an eye on the Shady Spring Youth Football Athletics page and your team's TeamReach page for updates.

🌧️ We can practice in the rain.
⚡ We cannot practice when there is lightning.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we navigate the weather. Our first priority will always be keeping our kids safe.

📣 PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OUR FIRST HOME GAME! 🏈💙💛

Tigers Family, our first home game is Saturday, August 15th, and we need your help to make game day run smoothly! 🐯

EVERY PARTICIPANT IS EXPECTED TO HAVE ONE VOLUNTEER PER SEASON.
That means you only need to volunteer ONE time PER CHILD during the season. You are NOT expected to volunteer during your child’s game — most families choose the game immediately before or after their child’s game.

COACHES ARE NOT EXCLUDED from the volunteer requirement.

⏰ PLEASE ARRIVE PROMPTLY!
Your shift begins IMMEDIATELY when the game clock ends. Please be ready to take over so the parent who has been volunteering can get to the stands and watch their child play.

Volunteer spots are first come, first serve. So, please sign up promptly to ensure you get what you prefer.
