🐯💙💛 WHAT A SEASON FOR OUR TIGERS! 💛💙🐯

What a way to close out the regular season! We could not be more proud of every player, coach, cheerleader, volunteer, and family member who has made the 2026 season so special for Shady Spring Youth Football Athletics!

Here’s how our teams finished the regular season:

🏈 FLAG FOOTBALL
The Flag Tigers finished the season with a BIG win over Mt. Hope, 42-14! They finished the regular season 4-3-1, earning 6th place and narrowly missing the playoffs. We are so proud of the heart, effort, and growth these young Tigers showed all season long! 🐯👏

🏈 C-TEAM FOOTBALL
C-Team finished the regular season PERFECT at 8-0! 🎉

Although yesterday's game was officially a forfeit, our Tigers still took the field and showed out against a mix of Mt. Hope's C-Team and B-Team, coming away with a 14-0 victory!

They finished 2nd place and are NOT DONE YET! C-Team will continue their battle through the playoffs as they chase that CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY! 🏆🐯

🏈 B-TEAM FOOTBALL
B-Team closed out the season with an impressive 30-0 shutout over Mt. Hope!

They finished the season 2-6 and in 10th place, but their record doesn't tell the whole story. These boys fought hard, continued to improve, and made tremendous strides throughout the season. We are incredibly proud of their determination and growth! 💪🐯

🏈 A-TEAM FOOTBALL
A-Team finished the regular season in a BIG way with a 42-0 shutout over Mt. Hope!

They finished 5-3 and earned 5th place. Their season isn't over either! These Tigers will continue to battle in the playoffs as they fight for a chance to bring home a championship! 🏆💙💛

🏆 DREAM TEAM 🏆
Our Dream Team showed out BIG! They defeated the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department in their championship game! 🎉🏆

But there's still one more challenge before their season comes to an end — they'll be back to face the SSYFA Coaches! We can't wait to see it! 😎🐯

---

💙💛 THANK YOU, TIGER FAMILY! 💛💙

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our parents, grandparents, extended family members, volunteers, coaches, and everyone who has supported SSYFA throughout this season.

Thank you for trusting us to be a part of your child's life and for allowing your children to be a part of the Shady Spring Youth Football Athletics family. We are truly grateful for every player and family who has been a part of this journey.

BUT WE'RE NOT DONE YET! 🐯🔥

We still have TWO TEAMS battling in the playoffs, and our cheerleaders are working hard and preparing for competition! Let's keep showing up, cheering loud, and supporting our Tigers all the way through the finish line! 📣🏈

🎉 END-OF-THE-YEAR BANQUET 🎉
We will be celebrating our players, cheerleaders, coaches, and families at our end-of-the-year banquet. Please be on the lookout for the date and time!

09/25/2026

Thank you to our parents, team moms, volunteers, and coaches for making the Homecoming Parade a success.

The smiles on our kid's faces are priceless.

09/24/2026

This is a reminder that the SSHS Homecoming Parade is this evening at 6:00 p.m. We are excited to celebrate Homecoming with our students, families, and community!

Please be aware of the following traffic and parking information:

Road Closures:
Beginning around 5:55 p.m., there will be a complete road closure in all directions at the intersection, as well as from the Route 3/Hinton direction. These closures will remain in place for the duration of the parade.

Parade Lineup:
Parade lineup will begin at Shady Middle School at 4:00 p.m. Traffic in the area will begin to increase and may become congested around that time. Please plan ahead and allow yourself plenty of extra time to reach your destination.

Parking at Shady Spring High School:
Our parade floats will unload in the back parking lot at Shady Spring High School, so we will need to keep that area accessible. There will be limited parking available at the high school, so if you plan to park there, please arrive early. Once the parking lot is full, it will be closed.

Due to the recent rain and the condition of the grounds, parking on the grass will not be permitted. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us protect our school grounds and avoid creating additional work for our custodial staff.

We understand that the road closures and parking limitations may cause some inconvenience, and we truly appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we work to make the parade a safe and enjoyable event for our community.

Finally, please remember that our staff members are volunteering their time this evening to help make the parade possible. We kindly ask that everyone be patient, courteous, and respectful as they assist with traffic and parking.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we hope everyone has a wonderful Homecoming evening!
