Our cats and new puppies live in a small trailer that has undergone many renovations over the years. It is a bright, friendly place where the animals get a lot of love and attention. We also have a large fenced area with mature trees for the dogs. Each dog has an oversized kennel and gets to run and play daily. We have a group of dedicated volunteers to do many shelter jobs. Of course, the best jo

b is playing with the animals! We are in the process of building a hurricane safe shelter. We also are planning a new building with more space and amenities for the animals. Your contribution will help make our dream a reality. Keep us in mind when doing your estate planning. We can help with adding the Humane Society of Pasco to your bequests. Many people think that the National Humane Societies provide funds for all Humane Societies. We receive no money from the national Humane Societies or any Government Agency. Your donations are the only thing that keeps us going. This is true with most shelters. Please remember to donate to your local animal shelter. Generally, they need the money much more than the national associations do. Our only source of funding is from your donations. Checks should be mailed directly to the shelter. Hi... its a beautiful day at the shelter, nice breeze today! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
Our biggest need this week is Cedarcide Spray/refill if you feel so inclined to donate! It keeps the bugs at bay while the dogs enjoy the fresh air and pools!

The pet pictured above was located on 6/19/2026 at approximately 7:30 PM, at 13290 SPRING HILL DR, SPRING HILL.

An adult male brown cocker spaniel and an adult female bully breed, no photo of the bully breed available at this time.

If this pet belongs to you, or to someone you know, please contact the animal shelter at 352-796-5062.

Unless an owner is located quickly, the pet will be transported to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office – Animal Services shelter, located at 19450 Oliver Street, Brooksville, within the next few hours. Owners should contact the shelter by phone (352-796-5062) to obtain information, or in person to retrieve their pet. Proof of ownership will be required.

And so...the phone calls begin,again.
The people who adopted the FREE dogs can't handle them or they're injuring the animals/ people in the home. They're not taking the dogs back,or telling them they will be euthanized.
It's not right. It's heartbreaking to say the least. 😢
