Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this year’s Shady Grove Country Christmas Festival & Parade.
This has been an incredibly challenging year for our community, with hurricanes, tornadoes, the loss of two beloved founding members, illnesses, and the struggles so many are facing in these times.
It’s been a long, weary road for all of us.
It deepens the crack in our already broken hearts to not be able to put it on.
It is a very large undertaking to put on, but one that afterwards, it is us that receive the blessing for doing so.
As much as we know how we all needed the joy, fellowship, and celebration this event brings, we simply couldn’t pull it off this year.
A part of this is the lack of volunteers.
Our events depend on the hands and hearts of this wonderful community, and we’re asking for more of you to prayerfully consider stepping up to help in the future.
We’re looking ahead with hope and big ideas for free community events throughout the year.
We’ll also begin planning for Country Christmas 2025, with a meeting notice coming around March.
Let’s come together to ensure next year is filled with joy and success!
Let’s use this season to focus on what Christmas is truly about—the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
Together, we can build up our community and make sure the spirit of Shady Grove shines even brighter in the years to come.
