Locally, Seymour Tri Kappa supports our community in the promotion of charity, culture, and education. Our charitable contributions include donations to the Food Pantries at Anchor House and Community Provisions, Riley Hospital, CASA, the Seymour Boys & Girls Club, Seymour Girls Inc., local nursing homes, Anchor House shelter, Habitat for Humanity, Turning Point, Jackson County Humane Society, Big
Brothers/Big Sisters, Community Foundation Endowment, and the Riley Hospital Cheer Guild. Our cultural contributions include donations to Hoosier Art Salon, Jackson County Library, Jackson County Community Theater, Southern Indiana Center for the Arts, SICA Friday Night Live, Carol Espy Award, Earl Prout Scholarship Fund, and Adopt-A-Spot. Our educational contributions include donations to Tri Kappa State Gifted and Talented Fund, Tri Kappa State Scholarship Fund, Seymour Tri Kappa Scholarships to local graduating seniors, Senior Scholar Awards, 8th Grade Awards, Jackson County Junior Miss, Renaissance Education, 4-H Camps, Special Olympics, SEPAC, Girls State and DARE Program. In addition to monetary donations, we donate our time with Meals on Wheels, co-hosting Christmas parties at Girls Inc. and Anchor House and the annual grade school art show for Seymour Community Schools, and participating in the city's beautification program, Adopt-A-Spot, at the corner of Community Drive and Second Street. We currently host four fundraising events: Annual Pecan/Nuts Sales in the fall, Seymour Oktoberfest Cake Walk, Tri Kappa Charity Euchre, and "Twice is Nice" Kid's Consignment Sale in the spring.
