To prevent further spread of New World screwworm (NWS), TAHC has issued an executive director order that places a quarantine on all warm-blooded animals in the identified infested zone in the Zavala County area. If you are located in this zone, help prevent any further spread of the pest by staying put and contacting the TAHC if you need to move your animals. Animals will still be able to move, we’ll just make sure they are moving safely and not moving NWS, too!
