Tri-County Lions donated 20 Disaster Preparedness "To Go" packs for use by the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department. Packs include items that an individual would likely need during the first 24-48 hours following a disaster. The packs were assembled at the District 12-N Convention with funds made possible from a Lions Clubs International Foundation Disaster Preparedness Grant awarded to District 12-N in July 2025. On hand today from Tri-County Lions were (pictured l-r) President Spence Perry, 1st Vice Dist. Governor-Elect Connie Emmons (also the club's service chair), Ken Moffett, Peggy and Richard Russell, and Bill Barnes, secretary. Fire Chief Ted Padgett Jr. and other SVFD personnel were on hand to accept the packs.

These packs included handcrank/solar radio, N95 mask, waterproof document bag, disposable gloves, whistle, can opener, inflatable pillow, blanket, water filter straw, hygiene kit, first aid kit, poncho, and more.

President Spence Perry presided over a busy agenda at this evening's Tri-County Lions May meeting, and kept things moving along well. Secretary Bill Barnes updated us on a project to repair or replace an individual's malfunctioning hearing aid and other projects, and Lion Connie Emmons made an official visit in her capacity as District 12-N 2nd Vice-District Governor and 1st Vice-District Governor Elect. We are excited and proud to see her rise in District leadership and wholeheartedly support her efforts!

Thanks to all who were able to come out and help us plan several months of service!

Congratulations to the 2026-27 Tri-County Lions officers elected Monday, April 12 at our regular monthly meeting. We appreciate so much their willingness to serve!

Also at the meeting we heard information from the recent District 12-N Lions Convention in Farragut.
