Without help tragedy is imminent for these dogs near Winona, Missouri 
Anyone who has done rescue for more than a little bit has gotten jaded. We hear the worst stories. We see the crisis situations that people got themselves into by making bad decisions or not being responsible. It takes a lot to make me feel bad for humans anymore. That said, I feel bad for the lady at the heart of the situation and I’m hoping that someone might be able to help. Her name is Tracy and she lives near Winona, Missouri
A decade or so ago, Tracy and her partner of many years moved from Florida to Missouri. They rented some land and bought a trailer. They had no sooner gotten the trailer set. than the first dog showed up. They were not even living in the trailer when the dog appeared underneath it.
Many many more dogs followed over the years. They did their best. They kept them fed, they kept them on flea medicine, they tried to provide vet care. The number swelled. They built kennels and made plans. Several years ago Tracy had a heart attack and things fell apart. She has not fully recovered, but he was keeping them afloat while they formulated a plan to make things better.
On July 3 of this year, she woke up to find him dead. He had put his head down on the kitchen table and never woken up. The situation is now dire.
There are 14 dogs living in kennels with the most minimal of care. She’s trying, but she’s killing herself. She has been in and out of the hospital, signing herself out each time because she simply cannot leave the dogs alone. Her neighbors have advised her to open the kennels and leave. She can go live with her children, but she won’t abandon the dogs to die. And they will die.
It took about two hours for her to walk/drive around and show me all of the dogs. She had to stop and use medicine multiple times. She could barely breathe at some points.
I’m going to tell you about all of the dogs now and attach pictures. Please know that ages and sizes are my best guess. I don’t have the capabilities to take this many dogs. I’m begging for someone to look at this situation and care enough to help. I will do what I can to assist.
1. Murphy Brown female about a year old and around 40 pounds
2. Whoopi female black and tan maybe three or four years old 45 to 50 pounds
3. Goldie female reddish golden and about 50 pounds
4. Geraldine 45 to 50 pounds female fluffy has some sort of ulcer on her foot and is about four. She doesn’t really like people.
5. Violet (Geraldine’s mother) is about six and is also brown and white and fluffy. She showed up pregnant and had the one pup.
6. 7. 8. Missy Russell and Louie are the three brown dogs pictured in the pen together. Russell is on the doghouse. When they showed up Russell was grown and the other two were older puppies and that was about three years ago.
9. Matilda is the basset mix looking girl she has a cool blue ring around one of her pupils and she’s very sweet.
10. Sherry is brown and white. She’s about four and is very sweet.
11-14. Away from the house, they have four more dogs. Teddy, Spanky, Lexi, and a female whose name she could not remember but is sister to Teddy. Mom and Dad dog showed up together and promptly had the two pups. The sisters are one and a half to two. The Dad Spanky has something going on with his right eye. I tried to get a picture of it.
