Happy Friday!

Huge thanks to our friends at Real Food CT for sharing some Halloween MAGIC 🎃✨ from Gazy Brothers Farm this morning.

Check out all the gorgeous pumpkins they brought us!!!

Whether you haven’t had a chance to grab a pumpkin yet or just need a little extra joy, we hope you get a chance to grab one.

Are our local farmers AMAZING or what?!

Hi Community!

We had questions recently about if it’s ok to take seeds from our community garden. 🌱

The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES!!!

Please do!!!!

We have SO MANY finished marigolds. Each dead flower is LOADED with seeds.

We also have tons of calendula that’s going to seed.

You are 100% welcome to deadhead and save seeds. It would make our hearts happy to know you did.

We sometimes spread ours right away or will store them in glass jars (like for pickles or jelly). Other people use ziplock bags. Use whatever works for you.

Thanks SO MUCH for putting the plants to good use. ❤️

Hey Community!

Want to hear something AWESOME?

Yesterday your steward dropped off freshly gleaned apples 🍎 at the Seymour Oxford Food Bank and came home with some bread, chips, and other goodies. 🙌🏻

When we share what we glean, our goal is always to improve access and avoid waste. However, surprise goodies and chances to connect with other community resources are a definite bonus.

Thank you SOFB! ❤️🫶🏻

Happy Monday!!!

Here’s your regular reminder that people are STILL kind, generous, and wonderful.

Thank YOU for being the MAGIC✨ that fills the pantry.

While we may not always have an abundance of food available, the LOVE you share here is ALWAYS palpable.

We love and appreciate you!!! ❤️🫶🏻

Hey Community!

We have a confession to make…

Your steward has been hoarding crates from our friends at Real Food CT. 🫣

This is what happens when we get into the habit of gleaning adventures and then our little stewards get sick.

The GOOD NEWS is that now that our littles have recovered, we should be able to get back to filling these crates and spreading FOOD JOY soon.

Here’s hoping your day is filled whatever you need most. ❤️🫶🏻
