Thank you SO MUCH to EVERYONE who came out to join us last night for our Comfort and Healing themed Eat and Greet!!!
Did you feel the MAGIC✨ in the room?
We certainly did! It felt like warmth, joy, and CONNECTION. We are getting fuzzies just thinking about it.
This community has been through A LOT together, not only with the recent flooding, but with the ever skyrocketing cost of living. Everyday more and more of our neighbors are struggling to afford basic needs like food and housing. As organizations and individuals who are often on the front lines of responding to our neighbors in crisis, we felt like it was time for ALL of us to take a collective deep exhale.
We were thrilled to have the room packed with old and new friends. Thank you for trusting us to hold the space with you, for sharing with us, and sharing with each other. We hope you enjoyed the food both for your bodies and souls. We also hope you walked away feeling just a little lighter and more connected.
We all deserve to feel safety, belonging, and worthy. We hope you felt that here. We also hope to see you again at our future events and around town…maybe even at a public comment during our town meetings. Absolutely no pressure though, just a reminder that you matter and so does your voice. We are deeply grateful for you and our amazing community.
Special thanks to all our space holders including Reverend Tricia Pasley and the folks at Trinity Episcopal Church of Seymour for hosting, our friends at Seymour Congregational Church who helped prepare the meal, Pastor Lisa Bosworth from Seymour United Methodist Church, Pastor Hyoung from Great Hill United Methodist Church, Reiki Master Diane Scofield, and Tawanna Woolfolk of the Sacred Ground Institute in Oxford. We appreciate you.
So much is hard right now, AND there is also the beauty of how this community comes together and holds each other up. That is what Valley-ness means to us. What does it mean to you?💛💙
