We have some big changes coming for the Seymour Young Marine in 2026!!!
First we are changing our drill days!!! We will no longer hold drill on Saturday mornings, we will now be meeting Sunday afternoons!! 🤩 we are hoping with this change, the kids that have to miss out because of sports will now have the opportunity to participate!!
Also, the next (and possibly biggest change of all!!) we are restructuring our recruit program!! No longer will you have to attend 13 weeks of classroom time!! We are packing it into a fun filled, fast paced learning weekend!! We are so excited to try out this new way of recruit training!!!
What is the Seymour Young Marines? 🇺🇸
The Seymour Young Marines is a youth leadership and character development program, for kids ages 8–18 (or through completion of high school).
⭐ The core values, we focus on teaching in the Young Marines:

⭐ What We Do:
Our Young Marines stay active, challenged, and engaged through hands-on experiences, including:

• Brown County hikes (using skills they’ve learned)
• Rock climbing & other adventure activities
• Color Guard events (local VFWs, community events, Indy Fuel hockey games, Colts full-field flag experience)
• Marksmanship training (firearm safety education followed by heavily supervised range practice)
• Close order drill (marching)
