Halfway through the 2024 Symposium and our students have heard about First Sergeant responsibilities, counseling & confrontation, discipline, and administrative actions, among many other topics. They’ve also heard from the ADC, legal, SARC, USO, Family Advocacy and more. As we charge into the second half of the week, we look forward to many more panels, topics & questions. Every First Sergeant needs a solid undershirt corps, and we’re thankful@for our attendees focus, interest, and dedication to taking care of people 💎

February’s 💎Diamond Sharp💎Award was presented to SSgt Ryan Hass today for exemplary compassion and care of a fellow defender! SSgt Hass stepped in and helped his fellow airman transition out of the military with kindness and support, while helping navigate unexpected and atypical life stressors. SSgt Hass’s intervention was critical to the airman’s smooth transition from military life, cementing his recognition as Diamond Sharp!

Once a month we have the immense honor of recognizing a stellar airman who has emulated the qualities of a First Sergeant! Today, we awarded Airman Gregory Peterkin of the 4th Medical Group with January’s Diamond Sharp Award 💎 Airman Peterkin took the initiative to care for his fellow airman in their time of need by stepping in without hesitation, demonstrating true airmanship and the reason he is: Diamond Sharp! 💎

We challenge and push each other to grow in every moment, and when the rubber meets the road, we always take care of our own! MSgt Blythe Cooley & MSgt Christopher Steppe will be so missed by our council, but we know it’s not goodbye, just see ya later ❤️

Please join us in congratulating SSgt Lee Mutugi on earning December’s Diamond Sharp Award! SSgt Mutugi went above and beyond to take care of an airman that felt they had no one on their side. He carefully curated a trusting relationship with the airman and was able to finally provide the support they needed but were scared to accept. Thank you SSgt Mutugi for being a phenomenal example and staying 💎Diamond Sharp💎

Nothing to see here, just 9 highly motivated First Sergeants preparing for Operation Cookie Drop 2023! The Seymour Spouses Club stuffed over 700 stockings with cookies, candy, snacks, and other holiday goodies for our dorm airmen and we had the distinct pleasure of passing them out door to door!
