Hello all! The Seward Iditarod Trail Blazers are hosting a trail maintenance day on the Iditarod National Historic Trail...

Hello all! The Seward Iditarod Trail Blazers are hosting a trail maintenance day on the Iditarod National Historic Trail on October 3rd 2026 at 10:00am. We will meet at the Bear Lake Trailhead located at the end of Bear Lake Road. The plan is to clear encroaching devils club on the Devils Club bypass. If enough people show up we might tackle some drainage issues on the INHT as well. These trails are used year around and used for skiing and fat tire if the snow gods smile on us.
Participants should bring water, snacks and gloves for handling devils club. Bring your favorite nippers if you have them. There will be a few shovels for those that work on drainage but you can bring your favorite shovel if you want.
Please help us get the word out. Thank you!
