Big thanks to Jenn Gjerde, our new Visit Nebraska Executive Director, who joined us at Rotary today! We appreciate the updates about Nebraska tourism and the efforts that happen at the local, county, regional, and state levels to encourage folks inside and outside of the state to spend time here enjoying all we have to offer.

$4.2B in annual visitor spending saves Nebraska households $392 annually in taxes. “We won’t win on mountains or beaches. We will win with humanity.” Who can you share a little piece of Nebraska with to encourage them to enjoy our state?

Our very own Clark Kolterman was featured on Fox this morning talking about the Seward Nebraska 4th of July Celebration. Great job, Clark! (Although if we still had fines, we'd fine you for not inserting "Rotary" before the apple pie and bubble gum eating contest references!)

Our 10 Seward Youth Rotarians of the Month were recognized again tonight by Rotarian Matt Dominy at Seward High School's Honors Night. Special recognition to Sophie Russell who was named Seward Youth Rotarian of the Year. Congratulations, Sophie!

Concordia’s athletic program was represented by their track and cross country teams today.
Coach Biesel shared a question he works to answer for students and families he’s recruiting and it’s a worthwhile one for all kinds of organizations to ask themselves:

“What unique offering does your organization have in what it can offer to those who want to be or are part of it?”

Thanks to Concordia University, Nebraska for sharing the athletic program stories with us this month!
