Don't forget to remember... TODAY at 4:30, John Benson will give a lecture on Hudson Stuck (T' 1892), missionary to Alaska and the first man to climb Mount McKinley (Denali), the highest peak in North America! Benson will discuss Stuck's trip as well as his own climb a few years ago.

Does Sewanee history interest you much? Come see what the Trust has planned this semester:

Thur 20 September, 4:30pm, Gailor Auditorium--Sarah Sherwood, University Archaeologist, will talk on the several digs on the Domain, what she's looking for, who's been helping her, and what's next.

Thur 18 October, 4:30pm --Martin Knoll, Professor of Forestry and Geology, and his wife Marion, invite the Trust and interested students and townsfolks into their home.

Thur 15 November, 4:30pm, Hearth Room-- John Benson, the Chief of the Outing Club, will talk about the climb up Denali: what it was like when
Hudson Stuck first did it 100 years ago, when John did it part ways some 20 years ago, and how Denali is now a different place from both of those earlier times.
