Its Christmas in July! I try to do gift baskets every year for single parents but this requires the help of others!

Single parenting can be a lonely place. Come join us at Pathways Church in Sevierville tonight at 7, Saturday at 6, or Sunday at 9:30 and 11:15. South Knox also has a campus!!!

Last day for basket donations is Dec 17th. This year doesnt look as promising as last year. I probably will not get to do the mens baskets because the only donation offer Ive received towards that is from a barber shop. In order to stretch the donations, I may do gift bags instead of baskets. I'm very thankful for all I've received so far and I know God always has a plan. If this touches even one heart, that is truly all that matters.

Hey, everyone! It's time to think about the Single Parent gift baskets again! If your business or someone you know would be willing to donate to them, please let me know! This post is public so tag and share! Things I'm looking for to fill the baskets:

Clothing items (leggings, beanies, gloves, socks, shirts, scarves, etc)

Makeup
Jewelry
Tools for the single dads
Tech gadgets for the single dads
Gift cards
Restaurant gift cards
Clothing store gift cards
Blanket throws
Candles

These are just ideas!! Thank you for being willing! I filled 51 baskets last year and single parents from Sevier, Jefferson, Cocke, and Knox county received baskets! If you would like to help with the baskets, let me know!!

The Bible tells us being single is a gift because we are better able to focus on what God is doing. As single parents, we are doubly gifted because we get the chance to not only focus on what God is doing, but what our children are doing. We are blessed with the reward of watching them turn into amazing people, and our opportunity to be a huge part of that is important!!!

Raising a child alone has strengths and weaknesses. Watch out for these psychological factors, which might impact your child.

Single mothers get a lot of attention, but I want to give a major shout out to the single dad's out there. The men who took on raising their kids when the woman skipped out. The men who co-parent with their exes like a boss. The men who lost the love of their life prematurely and were thrust into single parenting all at once. The stepdads who took on kids as their own when they didn't have to, then raised them when the mom walked out, too. Adoptive single dads who saw a child in desperate need of love and care and stepped up to the plate. You're amazing. All of you. We need more men in the world who live out the definition of "man" the way you all do!!! Happy Fathers Day!!!
