Sevier LGBTQ+ Neighbors 501(c)3 Nonprofit connecting the LGBTQ+ community of Sevier County, TN Love is the guiding force behind everything we do.

Mission Statement
Our mission at Sevier LGBTQ+ Neighbors is to create a safe, inclusive, and loving space for the LGBTQ+ community. We are dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging, support, and empowerment by providing opportunities for connection, visibility, social interaction, and personal growth through our social club and large and small events. At the heart of our organization is the belief that every individual deserves to be celebrated, respected, and accepted for who they are. We strive to create an environment where diversity is celebrated and embraced, and where everyone can freely express their true selves without fear of judgment or discrimination. All are welcome regardless of race/color, creed, religion, age, gender, ability, gender identity, s*xual orientation, s*x, ethnicity, national origin. In addition to creating a vibrant social club and organizing unforgettable large events, we are also committed to promoting inclusiveness in all aspects of our work. We actively seek to incorporate and amplify voices from all corners of the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing that their experiences and perspectives are essential to our growth and understanding. Furthermore, we recognize the importance of financial sustainability and the impact it can have on our ability to create a positive impact. To ensure the longevity and success of our organization, we engage in charitable fundraising efforts that align with our mission and values. These efforts enable us to provide the necessary resources, support services, events and opportunities for personal and community growth. We believe that love has the power to bring people together, to heal wounds, and to create positive change. With love as our main theme, we aspire to build a more compassionate and inclusive world, where love triumphs over hate, where acceptance overcomes prejudice, and where every member of the LGBTQ+ community can thrive and live their lives authentically. Together, with the support of our members, partners, and allies, we will continue to ensure that love is at the forefront of our work, as we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.

TRIPRIDE FESTIVAL SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER: TriPride said in a statement today that they are canceling the Pride Festival scheduled for Saturday October 10th in Bristol's TN/VA due to the forecasted severe weather caused by Hurricane Isiaias after it reaches landfall early Saturday morning.

They stated "Friends, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of tomorrow’s TriPride Parade and Festival due to forecasted inclement weather, particularly the wind.

This decision was not made lightly. We know how much this day means to our LGBTQ+ community, our allies, our vendors, our sponsors, our performers and everyone who has worked tirelessly to bring this celebration to life. We’ve all been looking forward to this day -- coming together to celebrate love, visibility, inclusion, and the progress we continue to make as a community… so this announcement is difficult.

While we are prepared to navigate light rain, the forecasted sustained winds and gusts present significant safety concerns, particularly for the approximately 120 vendor tents on site and the tree-covered areas of the festival grounds. The safety of our attendees, vendors, volunteers, performers, and EMS/city partners must come first.

We know this news is disappointing, especially after so much planning, preparation, and excitement. Please know that this decision comes from a place of care and responsibility for the community we serve.

Pride is more than one day, more than one parade or one festival. It is the community we build, the people we stand beside, and the love and resilience we carry with us all year long.

Beau Knowles LGBT I greatly enjoyed going to TriPride Festival last year in Bristol VA/TN. It was the first time I had gone to this event. It was well organized with over 100 manders, resources, and performers. I loved running into my friends at these events. I wish everyone that had already started to travel to this event and those that are going to be at other Pride festivals safe travels. TriPride is completely correct. Pride is 365 days a year. But we do enjoy coming together to celebrate. Stay Safe friends.
