United States holidays recognizing the commitment of members of America’s military services, Memorial Day honors those who lost their lives while defending their country. Let's all remember the real reason for this Holiday. Please if you're a Gold Star Family post a picture of your Hero and they're name so we can honor them. Memorial Day is an annual federal holiday dedicated to honoring and mourning U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the Armed Forces. Observed on the last Monday in May, it is fundamentally a day of remembrance rather than a celebration of all living veterans. Please keep these Fallen Heroes families in your prayers.

ARMED FORCES DAY
Armed Forces Day on the third Saturday in May pays tribute to the military personnel serving in the United States Armed Forces. The celebration takes place each year during Armed Forces Week.
The United States Military is composed of six branches, including the Army, Airforce, Space Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. As of 2019, more than 1.3 million active-duty service members are stationed in the United States and around the world. An additional 800,000 reservists stand ready in the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard. The holiday unites the country behind the men and women who currently serve in the United States military. Thank you to all the brave men and women that serves.

November 10, 2025, Marines across the globe will recognize and acknowledge 247 years of service to their country, the sacrifices made to defend democracy, and the Marine Corps’ enduring legacy as America’s premier fighting force.

The Marine Corps’ annual tradition celebrates the establishment of the organization on November 10, 1775, by the Second Continental Congress. Following their role in the American Revolution, the Marines were abolished following the Treaty of Paris in April 1783. Then, on July 11, 1798, Congress ordered the creation of the Marine Corps and directed that it be available for service under the Secretary of the Navy.
