Today our Rotary Club had the opportunity to tour Sevierville Fire Department Station 1 and learn more about the dedication, training, and service that keeps our community safe every day.

And yes…Ember the Dalmatian may have stolen the show 🐾🔥

Thank you to Chief Henderson, the firefighters and staff behind the scenes for welcoming us, sharing your time, and giving us a glimpse at the important work you do for Sevierville. Rotary is proud to support and celebrate those who serve our community.

What a morning! 🏃‍♀️🔥🏃‍♂️

Thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, sponsor, law enforcement team member, and community supporter who made the Sevierville Rotary Club’s inaugural Burning Off the BBQ 5K such an incredible success!

From the energy at the starting line to the smiles at the finish, this event was a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a great cause. Because of YOU, proceeds from this race will help support local high school scholarships and community organizations serving Sevier County.

Congratulations to the Sevier County Sheriff's Office for their team challenge win!! 🔥 Big thank you to both our Smokin’ Shields Showdown teams from the Sevierville Police Department and Sevier County Sheriff’s Office for bringing the fun, friendly competition during National Police Week. 🚓🔥

We are grateful for every person who showed up, cheered, donated, volunteered, or participated in any way. We couldn’t have done it without you! See you all next May!!

**"Important Runner Information — Burning Off The BBQ 5K

Good morning runners!
We’re excited to welcome you to the inaugural Sevierville Rotary Club Burning Off the BBQ 5K this Saturday, May 16, 2026! Thank you for supporting local scholarships and community organizations through your participation.

Below is some important race day information to help your morning go smoothly:

🏃‍♂️ Race Day Schedule

Check-In & Packet Pickup Opens: 6:45 AM
Group Stretch/Warm-Up: Approximately 7:10 AM
Race Start Time: 7:30 AM
We encourage runners and walkers to arrive early to allow time for parking, check-in, and warm-up activities.

🚗 Parking Information
Parking will be available in the Sevierville Municipal Complex. Please follow police and volunteer directions upon arrival. There are additional road closures in the area due to the Bloomin' BBQ Festival. Carpooling is encouraged where possible.

🚻 Restrooms
Porta-potties will be located directly behind the race check-in table for participant use before the race.

🏅 Finisher Medals
Every participant who completes the race will receive a finisher medal at the completion of the race.

🔥 Warm-Up Stretch
We will offer a brief group stretch/warm-up session prior to the race start for anyone who would like to participate.

💧 Additional Race Day Information

Please stay hydrated and dress appropriately for the weather.
Strollers are welcome.
For everyone’s safety, we ask that participants remain aware of their surroundings throughout the course.
Volunteers and Sevierville police will be positioned along the route to help guide runners.
Most importantly — have fun! Whether you’re racing for a personal best, walking with friends, or supporting a great cause, we’re grateful to have you with us for this exciting new Sevierville tradition.

Danielle shared insights on leadership development, community connection, and the impact Leadership Sevier continues to make across our county. We appreciate her passion for investing in current and future leaders right here in Sevier County.

We are so proud to announce that Megan Underwood has been selected as one of our 2026 Sevierville Rotary Club Scholarship recipients.

A soon to be graduate of Northview Academy, Megan plans to attend ETSU this fall to pursue a career in elementary education.

In Rotary, we believe in investing in the next generation of leaders who embody our motto of "Service Above Self." We have no doubt that Megan will go on to do incredible things!
