The Imagination Library puts FREE high-quality books into the hands & hearts of children worldwide, capturing imaginations & inspiring children to Dream More, Learn More, Care More and Be More. All children under the age of 5 living in Somerset County can register to receive 1 FREE high-quality, age-appropriate book by mail each month from birth until their 5th birthday. As the program's local affiliate, St. Paul's United Church of Christ hopes that this gift of books will enable the children in our community to grow into well-adjusted, happy, and successful adults. Research shows that access to books at an early age equips children to do better in school, obtain more educational opportunities, and achieve greater vocational success later in life. Paul’s UCC believes this program will further our mission to foster wholeness and abundant life in our community. Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has become the preeminent early childhood book gifting program in the world. The flagship program of The Dollywood Foundation has gifted well over 150 million free books in Australia, Canada, The Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom and the United States. The Imagination Library mails more than 1.8 million high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to registered children from birth to age five. Dolly envisioned creating a lifelong love of reading, inspiring them to dream. The impact of the program has been widely researched and results suggest positive increases in key early childhood literacy metrics. Penguin Random House is the exclusive publisher for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. For more information, please visit imaginationlibrary.com.
