Attention ALL Homeowners living along the gas line.
I have met with Doyal Clabo with the County regarding the plans for Cottonwood Estates and the "WALL" they are constructing.
The original plans for Cottonwood Estates called for 2 retention ponds, however, in that Keenland Farms homeowners denied them access to our drain system their plans had to change. They had to devise a plan to create their own drain system which is why they installed the 30" pipe along the ditch line of Hodges Bend. Now, in order to get the water run off to flow towards the pipe they are having to create an elevation to make the water flow downhill TOWARDS THE PIPE (Hodges Bend) NOT YOUR HOMES. The "Wall" if you will must be higher at the back which is closer to the Stables than it is in the front near Hodges Bend in order for the water to flow in the proper direction. Currently they are creating a berm (a raised edge along the top of what some of you are referring to as the "Wall" which will create pooling on their side to prevent flooding of Keenland Farms. If you can coral your fears and not jump to conclusions about what the workers are telling you, I believe you will see how the work being done is actually to prevent flooding Keenland Farms. By Law, one subdivision cannot be built in a manner that causes destruction to another. If you have any questions you may call me 865-824-7018. I may not be available at the time you call but leave a message and I will return your call.
