Alliance Health Education Initiative

AHEI is a 501(c)(3) public charity for health education-oriented groups interested in seeking grants to help fund health projects within their communities.

AHEI also welcomes donations to help us help others. Donations to AHEI are tax-deductible. Funds raised are distributed annually in the form of grants, which you can read more about on our website. To date, AHEI has awarded close to $40,000 in grants to health related nonprofits across the country.

A backpack can carry more than books. It can carry hope.🙏

Every student deserves the opportunity to begin the school year prepared to learn. Through partnerships with schools and community volunteers, colorful backpacks filled with age-appropriate supplies could be made available for students whose families may need a helping hand. By removing one barrier before the first school bell rings, we can help children begin the year with confidence, excitement, and the tools they need to succeed.

💙AHEI Grants in Action

In 2017, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the Knoxville Academy of Medicine Alliance observed our nation's growing alarm about substance abuse; what's more, is their realization it was in their community.
The KAM Alliance partnered with the Metro Drug Coalition and local pharmacies with a simple but effective means to address the increasing concern.

One idea. One grant. One park bench. Countless memories.

What matters isn't the project.
It's the people whose lives will be changed because someone believed it was possible.

💙AHEI Grants in Action
"Every grant begins with hope. Every project changes lives.
Every story matters."

In 2022, the Michigan State Medical Society Alliance presented its "FALL FOCUS" symposium. It addressed youth mental health.

Following a devastating school shooting, the leaders recognized the need for practical tools that help people recognize changes in behavior, begin caring conversations, and encourage those who are struggling to seek help.

Through support from an AHEI Grant, MSMS Alliance presented the "be nice." program- an approach empowering participants to Notice, Invite, Challenge, and Empower those who may be experiencing mental health challenges.
