NMEA Commercial Installer Training at NMEA Conference Dallas TX, October 2

NMEA introduces a Commercial Marine Electronics Installer Training class. This class focuses on specific electronics typically installed on commercial vessels, including commercial fishing, brown water tugs, supply vessels, and law enforcement & pilot vessels.

Topics covered in this full day class include installation of: VHF, DSC, NMEA 0183, Marine Computers, Ethernet, WiFi & USB, AIS, Radar, Satellite Communications, Heading Sensors, Coaxial Cabling, Sonar, BNWAS, and Swing Meters.

Commercial installers and technicians from the Gulf and inland river systems please join us at the NMEA Conference on Friday October 2, Dallas/Rockwall Texas, at the Hilton Hotel beginning at 8AM Central Time. The second Commercial Installer training will be held virtual/live 2 weeks after the Workboat show in New Orleans on December 16, 9AM Eastern Time.

Registration is now open for this year’s National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Conference & Expo in Dallas, Texas.

Successful NMEA Spanish Language Training

NMEAs first Spanish language training sessions kicked off in Puerto Rico May 12 & 13 and earlier this week in Miami, FL May 19 & 20. These successful events are helping bilingual and Spanish speaking technicians get certified.

Basic Marine Electronics Installer Certification course (BMEI) and Basic NMEA 2000 Installer Certification course (BN2K) have been translated into Spanish and are being taught live in Spanish during 2026.

The final in person Spanish language training event will be held in Quepos Costa Rica August 4-6 at the Marina Pez Vela. Virtual NMEA 2000 and MEI trainings are on November 10-11.
