a Park American Legion Post 175 have joined forces to jointly sponsor and support two teams in 2021—the traditional 19U Senior Legion team, and new this year, a 17U Junior Legion team. Teams will play home games at Severna Park High School and Kinder Farm Park in Millersville. Senior Legion 19U
Players living within the Severna Park, Broadneck, Northeast, and Chesapeake High school districts who turn 19-years-of-age or younger in 2021 are eligible to try out for the Senior team. High School players looking for an elite summer baseball program with regional and national visibility, plenty of playing time, and approximately 45-50 games including tournaments. Tryouts will be held in May or June, depending on the conclusion of the high school spring sports season. The 19U Senior Legion team will be coached by Jim Christy, who currently serves as assistant coach for the Archbishop Spalding High School junior varsity team. Junior Legion 17U
A new Junior Legion 17U team comprised of players who turn 17-years-of-age or younger in 2021, and who currently attend Severna Park or Archbishop Spalding high schools, has been added to the Legion lineup. The team will be coached by long-time Severna Park High School junior varsity head coach, Dave Ferris, and Archbishop Spalding High School junior varsity head coach, Joe Zimmerman. The new Junior Legion team gives 17-year-olds an opportunity to play elite summer baseball playing 20-25 games and serve as a feeder system for the Senior Legion team. Cost approximately $200-$250
