We would like to thank Prestige Tree Experts for the amazing work they completed over Spring Break at the Cisco Center!

While the biggest impact is the back field being cleared so a dead tree could be removed, they also did a lot of work on multiple other trees on our property to keep them health for years to come. There is still much work to be done in the future!

We hope everyone is enjoying their Spring Break and we cannot wait to see everyone again on April 7th!

Happy International ! 🥧 ✨

Today we celebrate π (3.14) the number that makes every circle complete and is all around us! Let's see how many circles you can find!

📚 Fun fact: It’s also the birthday of Albert Einstein!

We hope everyone had a great holiday break!

As we begin the new year, we wanted to thank everyone who made last year possible! To all the families that have supported us over the years, our wonderful donors, and business partners, we couldn't do what we do without you.

One of our goals this past year was to improve our building and after many weekend projects, weeklong projects, and multiple supporters, we want to thank everyone for all the work they did

Blake's Asphalt LLC - They were able to make a multi-year goal come true! Not only did they fill the potholes in our lot, but they leveled it out, paved it and even put down parking lines.

CheckMark Power Washing - We really appreciate you guys coming out to not only take care of our building, but also get rid of the dirt and grime off our fence and play equipment. We have attempted to tackle these areas the last two years, and it always came back - 3 months later and its still looking amazing!

Able Electrical Services, Inc. - Thank you all so much for coming out to not only fix some of our interior lights, but also replace all of our exterior lights (most of which were damaged over the years)

Handyman at Your Command - Impressed doesn't even describe how we felt about the paint job your team did on the inside of our building! It was a large job and the end result was amazing!

Diedrich family and friends - One of our staff members, their family members, and a few of their friends spent numerous weekends at the Cisco Center over the last year on multiple projects. It is community members like you who help us provide the best environment for our families!

We are probably missing some others, but we are so thankful for everyone who helped us over the last year, either by volunteering their time, providing services to us, or donating.

We couldn't do it without the community's support and we look forward to the years to come and to continue providing a positive learning experiences for young children with special needs and their families.

We would like to give a big shoutout and thanks to Checkmark Power Washing for assisting the Cisco Center with power washing various parts of our property.

After several attempts of tackling the job ourselves, the dirt and algae just kept coming back. They were able to knock it all out in just a few hours!

Thank you Checkmark Power Washing! If you are looking for a local power washing company, check out https://checkmarkpowerwash.com/

We're Making Waves Again- and We Need You!

The Severna Park Community Center's beloved Therapy Pool is a lifeline for seniors, individuals with special needs, and those on a journey of healing. But after years of service, it needs critical repairs-including fixing a rusting ceiling-to stay open and safe.

Our goal: Raise $50,000 by the end of August!
Your donation helps keep this unique, warm water space open to the community members who need it most.

Let's Make Waves Again -together. Please donate today!

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

The Cisco Center Foundation was chosen to be the recipient of July's Community Bag program. This program donates $1 per community bag sold at our designated location to local non-profit organizations like ours

Our designated location is:

During this month long partnership, our goal is to sell at least 50 bags, which is equivalent to $50 donated. We are confident that with the help of our dedicated supporters we can reach this goal.

As we all prepare for the extreme heat watches over the next few days, it is important to stay safe and take steps to avoid heat related illnesses.

Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management has a great graphic showing two common heat related illnesses as well many resources for families in the post below.

Recognize the signs of heat-related illnesses:
Heat cramps: Muscle cramps, often in the legs.
