It's been some months since last update.

There's not much we can share... We have slowed the pace down..
We're currently looking to get in Home physical therapy for Natalie.

In April Natalie got botox injections in her inner thighs and lower legs but she didn't do too well since ... Natalie seizures increased and have changed due to that reason we have slowed down in life basis. Other wise she's been healthy, smiling and sitting outside a lot or laying on a mat and just watching the birds 🐦 🐦‍⬛ It's truly become a great pass time.

It's been 5 months since the correction of scoliosis for Natalie's spine .

Natalie has been going to therapy sessions at least 8 times every week, for 1hr each.
And at this point sitting is a bit more tolerable and balancing has become easier .
I'm so happy to see Natalie sit for a bit ,independently.
Here's a little glimpse of her posture and ability to sit for about 10min at a time ,independently.
Keep up the hard work 💪 👏

I wanted to share that Natalie's coordination hand skills aren't the best,she can't use a pencil to write ,she can't color inside the lines ,but she is getting closer to coloring inside the lines and trying harder to write her name (with hand over hers to assist with the writing ✍️)
Today we selected colors and tried her best to follow through with coloring certain things with certain colors.. and yes it's a lot of scrabbles but it's really a progress. Before she'd just scribble a few times without effort of coloring inside the lines and now I actually see devotion. Go Natalie!

Thank you Casey Cares for coming through with such great thought. (We been so busy, I forgot to post)
It seems like winter can't leave us just yet and this has really been a really great gift. Natalie's been feeling extra chilly but the blanket has really kept her more cozy.

14 years ago , you came into my world to teach , strengthen, love , and bless my every aspect of life.

14 years ago, you have been the biggest piece in my life, I wasn't truly prepared for this battle field but I had to prove that I could do it all because that's what life is like with you.

14 yrs ago we started walking a new path, we been paving for a better *you*

14 yrs of your beautiful smile. Your tight hugs, your silliness, I can't possibly thank God enough for you .

Last yr we shed a lot of tears and yet you showed me that you strive and that you are the definition of "strong ".

I love you such my dear child, 14 yrs of you ❤️ 💖

3 month update since surgery

We're still working on sitting, can sit independently for 3 min, but can sit for 1 hour without discomfort in her personal chair (activity chair).
Struggling a lot with sitting at 90° in her wheelchair for long periods of time.
Attending ,physical, aquatic, occupational and speech therapy 2times a week, 8 sessions total each week.
Currently started our 6 weeks of feet casting to help flatten our feet and get more range.

Today we arrived at rockville around 9am ,but started the day at 7am and on the road.. went to physical therapy and got some time to play at the playground with some sunshine before tomorrow's rain!

Today was officially 1st day of rehab physical therapy 🙌
As simple as it may be, we are learning to sit, balance and hand coordinations.
Natalie's other muscles were working hard to improvise for her unaligned spine and since the surgery her body had to relearn how to use the proper muscles and tendons to sit to support her in sitting position.

Today was second appointment for aquatic therapy, Natalie is working on balancing, sitting , using her hands , paddling her feet and swaying from left to right to help loosen hips with tightness.
Natalie works very hard and doesn't seem exhausted.

2 months and 10 days Recovery update...

Natalie is still learning to sit up and sit down, and can't sit independently as before...

Today she got to start aquatic therapy, and will be attending twice a week.

***Her spirit animal must be aquatic, she has always loved water and she's a great sport at it!**

She did so well, and she kept saying "thank you, mom" for being in the pool.

Day 47 of recovery (yesterday)
Natalie was invited to The Nutcracker Ballet show by Casey Cares .
Natalie enjoys ballet so much, she expresses how much she loves the ballerinas throughout the show and change of scenes...
Her favorite were the mice and the ice scene with the ice queen (i think it reminds her of FROZEN, her all time favorite..)
She was truly honored to be invited on stage after the show and touch and feel everyone costumes, shake hands and give hugs.
Thank you The Ballet Theatre of Maryland for being kind and welcoming once again.
