Did you know Teammates was founded in 1991 by legendary University of Nebraska head football coach Tom Osborne and his wife, Nancy?
Nancy had seen a television segment about youth mentoring and asked Coach Osborne if some of his football players would be willing to step up as mentors. He asked his team, and 22 players volunteered, pairing up with 22 middle school students in Lincoln, Nebraska.
