Operation Holiday Stockings

To our dear supporters and contributors, this is to let you know Operation Holiday Stockings will no longer be in business. As many of you know, we have been a team of 4-5 volunteers. Our daily lives have changed with moving, retirement, parenthood, and grand children sparking up what we do. Also, in the past several years we have not been receiving requests for stockings. The stockings we have sent were due to our contacting past chaplains, unit leaders and those who made the original requests. Many, many thanks to all of you, we couldn't have done this for 11 years without you.

If any of you have recently send donations to us, please send me a personal message.

Hello everyone. 2016 has been busy and hectic year but the time to start sending out stockings to the troops is upon us. We don't need any stockings or supplies this year. We have ample supply. What we do need are nominations of soldiers to send stockings to. We will send stockings to any soldiers who will not be home for the holidays Thanks for you continued support and encouragement.

Happy Holidays everyone. This year has flown by for us at Operation Holiday Stockings. We sent out 690 stockings to five units this year. To all of you, thank you for your continued support of our troops both near and far. We ask that you pray for the safety of our troops, and that God will send them all an angel for their shoulders.

On another note, David and I spoke with a veteran at the Toys for Tots table last week, and he related to us about his unit receiving boxes of small knit stockings with goodies in them. It ended up his unit was a recipient of our stockings in 2008. He said that those stockings were so appreciated, and knowing someone cared enough to send them meant the world to them.

Have a wonderful holiday season and a safe new year. We look forward to sending more stockings to our troops in 2016.

Hello everyone. Thank you for your continued support. We have received so many beautiful stockings and items for the stockings from you and we truly appreciate it. What we need now are nominations of soldiers who will be away from home from the holidays (including in the US) for us to send stockings too. So far we have not received any requests ad we all know there are soldiers who deserve some holiday cheer. Happy September everyone. This year has literally flown by. We are gearing up to get the packages for our troops ready. If any of you know of a soldier who will not be home for the holidays, please let me know. You can send a message to me so the information will not be public. Thanks for all of your support to Operation Holiday Stockings, and especially to our troops.

We have fixed a few of the bugs in the new website. The updated 2014 Contributor List is up. If you noticed any omissions please let me know. Last year I had one computer have a breakdown, and the new one took a 6 week vacation. I'm still trying to get my lists straightened out. Also, if you haven't received a thank you, let me know that as well. We want to thank all of our contributors personally.

The pattern downloads are now working.

Hello everyone. OHS has been overwhelmed with the stockings, items and postage donations for 2014. Again, if any of you know of a deployed soldier, please send me a message so we can send stockings to them. Thank you all for your continued support.

Our website is still down. Please contact me if you know of any deployed soldiers who will not be home for the holidays so we can send stockings to them. Thanks everyone for your help and understanding of my lack of technical skills.

Hello everyone. Sorry about the radio silence. I am in shock that it is September already. It has been a hectic and busy year for me personally which explains a little why I haven't posted lately.

We are planning on sending stockings to the troops this year. We haven't received very many requests so far (which can be translated as a good thing), but we know there are troops who won't be home for the holidays.

If anyone knows of any troops who won't be home for the holidays please let us know so we can send them stockings. The troops can be deployed anywhere.

Thanks for the continued support. We all appreciate it very much.
