We had the pleasure of visiting and working along side together Farm in Davis, Oklahoma this week. Together, we explored their living soil under the microscope and discussed strategies to further strengthen their bio-fertility program.

There’s something powerful about seeing soil life in real time — it turns soil management into soil understanding. When farmers can observe biology at work, decisions become clearer, fertility becomes intentional, and regenerative practices become measurable.

Grateful for partnerships like this that are helping build healthier soils, resilient farms, and a stronger local food system here in Oklahoma.

Here’s to living soils, thriving farms, and a future we grow together. 🌱🤝

What are your thoughts??

This barnyard peach was grown from seed, the tree was transplanted small on its own roots. It was inoculated with a blend of bacterial endophytes and mycorrhizal fungi the day it was planted. No fungicide, insecticide or synthetic fertilizer used. Chickens scratch and manure under it as well as the rest of the barnyard. My only job is prune once a year and harvest.

This sweet momma mockingbird decided to build a nest in this drying rack directly outside our front door. So in true institute fashion we've been documenting the last 12-14 days. Today was such an exciting day as 4 of the 5 eggs hatched. Momma is pretty used to myself and Charles and if we announce our presence she will usually stay in the nest keepinh a close eye on us. The kids on the other hand sends her to flight every time. They should be in the nest the next 12-14 days!

I've seen many posts like the one below. I want to say this very respectfully but confidently: we need rain. The answer does not come from praying away the rain or wishing rain would stop.

The solution is DESIGN. We can....YOU can prevent flood events through designing your landscape (even cities) to work with nature, not in conflict to it. We can....YOU can design the land to hold the spring and fall rains in the landscape So that july and august don't look like desert wastelands.

When we decide that we are more powerful or smarter than nature, she will very effectively humble us.

We design to be a part of the solution and we want to share our knowledge and efforts with you because you are all smart enough and capable enough!
